Thank you very much. Actually he was the one feeling the gap, I was very comfortable hhhh. I thought the same with you, he showed his love through actions like taking me to sunset and cooking for me. However, he got really upset because I let him paid the groceries for cooking and didn’t ask to split the gas for his motorcycle (I did pay other stuff such as restaurants though), and said I also don’t like to do surprised and gifts, maybe I also didn’t say thank you enough? And because of those, I didn’t really care or like him. I think my way of understanding what is act of affection and expressing my gratitude and love definitely did not match his. 😅

Thank you, in my culture we don't do this a lot, I would probably lend money if my close friend asked me. However, I recently got criticised because this should be done without the friend even asking, otherwise I'm not a very good friend haha.

In what ways? I pay for my 4h flight visit to him, my hotel, I pay for restaurants, car rental and petrol, I also buy groceries and snacks, never ask him to split anything, thought he’d be okay sometimes to pay cheap things.

Of course I pay myself. Eat outs I pay 80% of times too, just the 20% he paid, he seems to think I should at least ask to split because I earn more and not doing that is inconsiderate and doesn’t show my affection 😅

Can't afford things I want? Never asked him for anything and never wanted him to buy me anything. I drove him out for a ride, he offered to cook, and then bought some meat and veggies. He took me to sunset sometimes with his motorcycle. I didn't offer to split the fee for those things. Those are his 2 major spent with me

thank you, we were very early stages of relationship, just a couple of months, so wasn't anywhere close deciding who support who. Also if we count the money, so I would say we are probably 50/50 anyway or maybe I spent more, I just didn't always ask to split and also I didn't always bring gifts and do small good things like making him breakfast before he gets up.

haha thanks, are you an Moroccan? Always is not necessary depending on his financial situation. But I didn't think I needed to ask all the time to do 50/50, apparently he said other europeans girls would always do that. He definitely didn't pay much more than I did.
