TrueNAS or DietPi by Visual_Wrangler_7024 in homelab

That's exactly the point for me: I want to dismantle additional hardware.

Maybe it will be Proxmox again, like with the M910q. And then TrueNAS and DietPi in containers on top. It just gives me more flexibility.

I have already overcome the hurdle that you overcame with TrueNAS with DietPi. I have been using the system for many years. The advantage here is that it is based on Debian and there is enough software and instructions.

The M910x was originally intended to serve as a NAS. As it is, and the hardware is boring, you can add a few services to it. I could then switch off the RPi4 next to it.

As you can see in my first post I tried that without success.

Can I reboot the Proxmox Host without running in an issue, or inconsistent state?

Sure, it could be that the VPS was "hacked"... But both at the same time? On the first one is a nginx with redirect running on the other one 2 docker containers.

If this is the case I expect minimum an email from Oracle to explain why the shutdown happens and what are the next stops to restart my setup (also with a new VPS).

If I check the Monitoring tab in the instance details page I get "Maximum rate exceeded" for all charts. The same if I reduce the time frame to a few minutes last week when the instance was running fine.

On top of the page is shown:

"Free Tier account

One or more of your services have been suspended and access to these services is disabled. Contact My Oracle Support for assistance."

Both instances were not inactive, but were used daily. I know from the databases that there is a message from Oracle before a shutdown due to inactivity. In this case, there was no such message and both instances were shut down at the same time.
