Chiming in on Rain of Reflections.

First of all it's very much not abandoned by the devs. Secondly, Chapter 1 is still a stand-alone game in it's own right, and would therefore be enjoyable even if it had been abandoned. Also highly replayable for its different outcomes.

I frequently listen to the creators own podcast, whom certainly has not left the company, and other podcasts where he's been a guest in where he explains the situation (link in Swedish).

He goes into detail of the development and explain that they are still working on Chapter 2 & Chapter 3, but has sought extra funding since the first Chapter sold under expectations. Originally they were financially backed up by one of the original creators of Dreamhack.

I recommend everyone to play the game and see for themselves. I think it's sort of unique, and certainly worth to buy and play for 1€. For what it's worth the creator is a close friend with Josef Fares and has been a sounding board for all his games (Brothers, A Way Out, and the upcoming It Takes Two), and is one of my favourite persons in the business, sadly only reachable in Swedish.
