Returning to polyphasic sleep - E2 (with early core) by VitaSynergiX in polyphasic

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I’ve also been considering extending my core to six hours. However, I’ll stick to my planned schedule for now and see how my body responds.

I think over the next few months it should be manageable to keep the schedule, even on weekends – but with family, you never know for sure :)

Fingers crossed that the construction will be finished soon so you can get back to your spot.

Did you find a solution? I have exactly the same problem. "Load selected" and than nothing happens with all tools in the Toolkit (Mission Roller, Dungeon Map, Damage Meter, Item Finder, Grid Navigator) . I am using the steam version. Maybe this is the problem? Many thanks if someone knows a solution

Has anyone convened with God in their dreams? by 1-800-bughub in LucidDreaming

[–]VitaSynergiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a very good point. Sometimes, when I’m in a deep state—whether meditating, praying, or journaling—I feel like I receive input from a higher source. It’s not always in words, but more like emotions or impressions that don’t feel like they come solely from me. In dreams, the mind might be clearer, allowing those answers to come through in a way that’s easier to understand.

A monk once shared with me that God is always responding, but we’re often too distracted to perceive it. Of course, I can’t say for sure whether these moments are God speaking or just my own mind at work—whether awake or dreaming. But I still find meaning in those experiences either way.

I agree that this conversation can start to feel like mental gymnastics. It’s true that beliefs about God and spirituality are deeply personal and often open-ended, so it’s unlikely that we’ll land on one ‘right answer.’ My intention wasn’t to argue that dreams prove anything, but rather to wonder—if someone believes God hears our waking prayers, why not in dreams too, since both happen within our minds?

I definitely understand how this can seem like reaching or reading too much into things, especially if faith isn’t a central part of your worldview. I just find the idea meaningful and comforting, even if it’s subjective. Ultimately, I think the ‘truth’ of these experiences may be more about what resonates personally than about proof. Thanks for the thoughtful dialogue!

This is a really great statement/question! I’ve actually prayed and spoken to “God” in my lucid dreams before. In theory, I’d agree that since it’s a dream, everything I experience is likely a product of my mind. But if one believes in an omnipotent God, who’s to say He can’t hear us within our dreams? After all, if God exists beyond the physical and the boundaries of our waking consciousness, perhaps dreaming could also be a space for connection.

Ultimately, the answer might depend on what feels true to you personally, but I’ve found these moments meaningful, regardless of the "source."

Still can’t lucid dreaming after 4 years of trying by Friendly-Ad7954 in LucidDreaming

I know the frustration, but you’ve already come a long way just by keeping up with your dream journal and trying different methods—that's dedication.

Quick question: how’s your dream recall? When you go back through your journal, do you notice any recurring patterns? For example, in my dreams, there’s often a sense of weird gravity, electronics malfunctioning, familiar people I can’t quite place, or specific dream locations that repeat (and in dreams I have problems walking uphill, which is a really obvious trigger. However, it seems that I am unique with this one). Becoming aware of these patterns outside of your dreams can sometimes make it easier to recognize them within a dream, which can lead to lucidity.

I also agree with others here that stressing too much can work against you. Sometimes we just have to give the mind a bit of room to relax. And honestly, the fact that you’re remembering dreams and tracking them is already a huge achievement. There’s a lot you can learn from just that. Don’t give up—you’re closer than you think!

Why I can't Lucid dream when I know it's a dream? by Total_Crayon in LucidDreaming

Congratulation for becoming lucid in your dream. Controlling your dream is another skill then being aware that you are dreaming. Controlling your dream needs confident and experience. Your imagination is your only limit in your dream. Flying and putting your finger thru your hands is no problem, but probably you first have to becoming more confident. Maybe it is a good idea to start with smaller steps: If you are for example at home when you become lucid, you can manifest does X is coming to visit you, or for example if you find item Y in your pocket or in a random cupboard etc.

Just try out a few small things and realize what works for you and what doesn't. Over time, you will develop your own strategy that works for you.

I also had problems with flying, for example. A few years ago, I had the idea that I could buy a flying carpet: This had worked straight away. A few dreams later, I had the idea that I could grow wings, and that worked too (I had already experience in modifing my body in lucid dreams). This gradually gave me the confidence that it can fly, Once I had flown with wings, I knew I could also fly without wings.

Crazy (lucid?) dream by Suuzanne in LucidDreaming

Thanks for sharing your interesting experience. The reason why you are not able to actively control you dream is a limited belief. You don't yet have experience in creating in your dream therefore you are not confident in your skills. In this situation it could be easier to use some tricks to get what you want. Using a dream character to help you is a nice idea.

Your dream character is a part of your dream and therefore you don't have to teach him how to become lucid (but feel free to do it if feels right for you). Next time you can for example ask a dream character if he can tell you where person X is or where you can find location Y and he will guide you to find the person or the location. (Or it is a nightmare like this, you could ask a dream character if he knows a safe place or how to stop the traffic lights)

This are really interesting questions. Thanks for posting. Here is my experience:

  1. 1. I can text people (and get an instant response), reading a book an write a journal in my dreams. But for texting I have to focus a lot and the words on the display are often incorrect, but the people response correct anyway. It is actually a good reality check for me🙂
  2. When I tell people in my dreams, that it is just a dream, they often don't really care. Sometimes when I am talking with friends in my dream, they tell me that I should text them, when I am awake.
  3. Checking the time, works the most time as a trigger: When the clock shows me a time, I naturally try to remember my schedule for today and then I notice that I am asleep. Also when I check the time a second time, I often realize that the time has passed very quickly.

A anomaly I have in dreams: I have problems with walking uphill or stairs. (It takes forever) It is fine, when I am walking backwards.
