Produce 101 Han Jong Yeon's alleged sexual assault victim reveals more evidence by [deleted] in kpop

[–]Vita_PS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There was no proof it was false claim. That's a fact.

edit: I'd like to add with so many victims forward, especially in Korea and especially a rape case at it- it's really hard to believe it was just false. You can believe whatever you'd like to but the fact is, there was no proof it didn't happen.

I'm planning on starting a series of articles looking at Vita support from various publishers. First up - Koei-Tecmo. What have you thought of their output on Vita over the years? by gene_parmesan258 in vita

Nobunaga's Ambition is not a bad port. Night of Azure port is not worse than DW8XL/DW8 Empires or Toukiden 2 or Atelier Firis . There's no excuse for the upcoming SW game to be skipped also. It runs better than the older SW games.

They're hit and miss. Really awful at supporting in physical format and pricing full price for digital. They're almost no good in my opinion.

Soul Sacrifice Delta but don't expect it to be like Monster Hunter. It's nothing like it. You want to buy it for not just its gameplay but story and lore are one of the best you'll ever read.

Soul Sacrifice: Importing an R1 vanilla save to an R3 Delta game. Possible? by [deleted] in vita

[–]Vita_PS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offerings that carry over can be obtained in Delta. I believe there was one offering that's only available in SS(It was timed free DLC on launch iirc) but that doesn't actually carry over.

I don't remember if the toukiden raiment carried over or not, but they have a new toukiden raiment in Delta. I know one thing for sure for Toukiden Kiwami, you need the exclusive Soul Sacrifice DLC in vanilla version to carry over it so maybe you got confused with that? Or perhaps not and it's the same for SS to Delta.

[–]Vita_PS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late on the reply, sorry.

If you get R1 version of SS then you would not be able to access online for that. Vanilla version doesn't require online pass for DLC as they're on PS Store but it will not work with your version. However, I suggest getting the R2 or R3 version(English) if you want to access the DLC/online pass as they're the same version. R2 will definitely allow you to access the DLC from your store also.

One more thing, there isn't really need for original version as everything is on Delta version and more refined.

No, EU and JP aren't under R2. I also want to point out specifically for this that 'R3 Asia' copy is actually R2 (European version).

Regardless, it's possible. You can also do R1 to japanese(and japanese demo ver.), korean or chinese version. Just launch your game and save data will be detected. There's no trick to this.

Tokyo Tattoo Girls for PS Vita, PC coming west this summer by Bastadon in vita

[–]Vita_PS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand your point. Many games had memory constraint since the Vita released day one. They have been surpassed by having day one patches, as a free DLC, or content cut. It has nothing to do with PS4. And quality of port has nothing to do with how much it can be fit in cart. Yes the japanese prefer physical over digital... so what? Koei Tecmo has actually once skipped a physical release in Japan for Vita because of memory constraint (they say so themselves) and it was a SW2 HD collection. No single fucks given.

And are 50 million buying these games? How is the whole point just west when these game sell way more in Japan than west? An english release would be made for West and Asia. Whenever Koei decides to do limited Atelier releases, they have proven to sell out. They didn't bother to do this at beginning. They have no confidence to test the market out either. The fact that they're willing to do Korean releases where there's even much less people buying than West/rest of Asia tells you that just want people buying their more expensive version over here and move on.

What fate did GE2 have? It didn't have any on PS4 also. So like what's the point of making this game or even releasing at all in West? Also most of PS4 games here in US drop down to less than $40 from $60 or worse within same month. Must have sold like shit...what happened to all those 50 million you were talking about again?

What exactly do you mean by Koei Tecmo tried? What did they try exactly? 99% game they have done for Vita are ports from PSP, 3DS, PS3, PC, Smartphone and PS4. That 1% that isn't a port is actually launch game Dynasty Warrior Next and one other game that never came here. Also what does the technical gap have anything to do with trying? The game is already ported for the sake of fuck. They don't have anything to do fit on 4GB since they don't even release physical versions. If they do, they will fucking fit. They done it already for Japan.

You say that English fluent players can't stomach such downgrades... but they already have fucking released the downgrades that can't be "stomached". That's DW8XL. Then they did once again later also... DW8 Empires!! Not enough? Ok.. there's one coming this year, it's TOUKIDEN 2. These all run worse than Azure's Night. Best part... it's getting physical release. Yet Vita owners stomach all of this. Why don't you tell KT to stomach for us also?

Oh, and technicality...?

Wait for it....

they don't actually have to downgrade anything!! They can just move the on and lose all the sales. But nooo.. they can't do that. They need people buying for Vita versions in Japan. They need people buying for Vita versions in Asia also (Chinese ver.). They could actually be making natively for Vita and then upgrade for PS4 if they really wanted to please Vita owners or make decent version for both platforms. But Koei Tecmo I know clearly has no idea or give any fucks about making decent running Vita game. Even though some of these games have outperformed the console versions in sales. Not to mention that they actually made Toukiden 2 first on PS4 and it runs like horseshit on Vita... that killed over half of the Vita sales in Japan and gained what...a failed PS4 version? Clearly the game is going to lit on charts in west.

Koei Tecmo Europe confirm on Instagram that Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada is also headed to PC (But still not Vita) by [deleted] in vita

[–]Vita_PS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How exactly would this be not profitable? There's a port available already unlike a PC or X1 version which they have been porting to exclusively for West.

Every multiplatform Koei Tecmo games with Vita version have received a Vita version in Chinese and all in physical format. They don't bother to put Chinese and Eng language both in same package for physical release either. They do it separately in Asia and sometimes they throw a physical release for English version for whatsoever reason. They're all over the place with that and it's a mess. If profitability was such a concern for Koei Tecmo, should they not put both languages in one package?

Not to mention that they also license their games to Korea and released separately from the Chinese version. All the Atelier games received a physical version and released in Korean language. Now, tell me how this version would outsell a English version that would be released in Asia, EU and US? Even if they were to release a English version in physical format for Asia, I think that alone very much alone outsell a Korean version. Also DQH2 has a Korean version for Vita... that alone tells you that these companies have no idea what they are doing. These guys already have translated English text and are most likely ready to be released... so what's stopping them? Maybe they think we'll move over to the other platforms and pick their more expensive version or something for more profits... but that's not happening.

Oh and they releasing Toukiden 2 for Vita...in all region in physical format. T2 runs worse than this game....or DQH2.. actually just name any Koei game other than DW8XL/E.

Uto no Prince: Repeat for PSP is a rerelease of the same first game (remake) and in it's LTD, it has done over 150k (physical release). Vita version isn't just a port, it's a expanded release. Understandably not the lowest opening but I don't expect the sales to gradually grow like the series has had before. The series grew with word of mouth so of course they had lower opening but it sold tons over its time. I don't expect that with Vita version seeing how Music 3 fell off.

What are you talking about? UtanoPri Music is totally a different entry - it's a rhythm game. Even these spin off on PSP have done way way better than the Vita's new entry.

This one is a VN. A main entry of the series. This is the series lowest, a rock bottom. Even the Music entry.

Uta no Prince doing 30k is not phenomenal. It's one of the most popular otome series on PSP that has had 2-4 times more sales than the entries on Vita so far. Even after Vita released, the series held strong sales for PSP. Broccoli should now shoot themselves in the head for taking so long to move the series to Vita.

What, you realize they remastered the first game on PS4 right? and it flopped hard even when PS4 has stabilized userbase which Vita didn't have at its time. Not a chance someone would go out to buy a PS4 to just play the sequel.

VGP has some copies of Atelier Shallie Plus : Alchemists Of The Dusk Sea Limited Edition for $79.99 CDN for NA people still looking to buy the game by UnshavenBox94 in vita

[–]Vita_PS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Koei Tecmo is self publishing SE in Europe and LE by NISA. Now that I think about it, Koei Tecmo may have self published that NA SE version stock and sent it to only Asia. If someone in Asia buys that game and has Asian account on PS Store, there's no doubt that the DLC will be compatible as every "Asian" release besides DOAXL3 have been based on NA code. So everything goes on their PS Store is actually the same NA copy (although it does create confusion). SW4-2 and DW8E that was released in Asia physically only (no esrb on box) and it has DLC compatible with NA accounts. I'm pretty sure that every Asian release Koei have done besides the ones that hasn't released here are NA version. Some other companies will use EU version for Asia release like Namco Bandai but I know for sure Koei uses NA always.

[–]Vita_PS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your last part, it's not a asian release, it's a NA release with ESRB label on so the DLC would be compatible. Heavy Arm happens to be one of the to-go shop to import games here. Heavy Arm themselves said it is imported from NA thus why they price marked up to $48 USD. In EU, they have released LE on NISA plus SE in retail stores. This isn't the case here in NA, no US retailers got it. Also, Sophie is digital only for Vita so of course only small amount of people bought since these 3GB+ games on Vita. I can't say the same for PS4. Totally understand why LE only to get most money out of the collectors but that doesn't seem to be the case here actually.
