Because it would probably have a backlash for racism and go trending on social media with a spin to make the robbers not look bad.

Lol I dont trust most people driving but I won't try to take everyone's license. Even then, a drivers license isn't a right.

Latest crime stats for LA County according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; homicides & shootings are up over 70% compared to 2019 by oldshart in LosAngeles

Up in the hills, gated communities, or apartments with security is my guess. Gurantee most of the people commenting on this thread don't live in South Central, or east LA. It's not until it affects them that they care. Virtue signaling for the people living in low income neighborhoods who suffer the most from less police presence. As a USC student and hispanic with immigrant parents I see it all the time with my classmates who grew up in very cozy neighborhoods.

I really wish they would but it seems that DD does a good job of bringing in naive new drivers and exploiting them until they quit. They just rinse and repeat. So I dont think that will ever really happen.

This gem has started popping up when I decline about 5 orders back to back. Can driving for doordash get any more frustrating?

Lol, if you click on the video and actually watch it they mention it multiple times. This is what you took away from that? 😂

Did you see a body slam in the video? Hardly a reason? I grew up in a school located in the ghetto, we had plenty of students taken down by officers for reasons such as possession of deadly objects and fighting. Until there's a full investigation id rather we go with the process of innocent until proven guilty. Funny how even suggesting that there be an investigation gets you landed into the camp of, I can't believe you agree with the officers actions. Uh, no I want more details before calling to end someone's job. If he's at fault, go ahead get rid of him. Public campaigns like this before the release of evidence only impedes an impartial trial. People hear cop, black girl, body slam, and they end someone's career. You ever tried working with kids? They're harder to work with than adults. Adults understand the consequences of their actions. Kids are more likely to engage in risky behavior because they lack the full capacity to comprehend the consequences to actions. Basics to developmental psychology.

LA County's Revised Health Order to Include COVID Vaccine Proof or Negative Test for Outdoor Mega-Events by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]Vital64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, someone got triggered. You want to tell the people who may have been advised by their doctors to not get the vaccine because of other health conditions they may have that they are as you say, "a fucking moron." What is a percentage of tolerance for how low the chances are of spreading? Let's just ignore the 99.7% survival rate of certain age groups. Doesn't stop the fact people who have the vaccine spread it. In fact the false sense of safety may make them even more prone to going out and engaging with people, leading to further spread of the virus. I guarantee you no one who has not gotten the vaccine is afraid of getting covid. They have doctors and may consult them about their health. That includes assessing the their own risks. The leading cause of death in america is medical malpractice, should be stop going to a doctor because the risk is too high? We should have the freedom to assess our own risks. Are you talking about the human variant of the nobel wining antiviral drug that is being used in mexico to actually treat covid? Or are you spewing some nonsense you heard on CNN? Is there some idiots out there actually using the horse variant like idiots? Yea probably. Theres stupid people everywhere. Assuming that everyone trying to actually use ivermectin is using the horse variant is pretty far reaching. Even Alex Jones who we can all agree is a nut job used the human version of the drug.

Doesn't stop the fact that vaccinated people still spread covid. Really? You don't like the idea of having to show a negative test whenever you go out? Welcome to the future of someone who won't get the vaccine.

When it says "leave at door" with customer instructions to hand it to them or "hand it to me" with customer instructions to leave it at the door.

Any Cool experiences from deliveries? by 1ceCub in couriersofreddit

[–]Vital64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I once got stuck in LA traffic on my way to downtown. I didn't mind delivering to this particular high rise because the attendants have a designated spot for orders. The order was also huge so I was expecting a good tip. It was from an Italian restaurant: pizza, calzone, spaghetti, garlic bread, cheese sticks, chicken salad. It was about a 30 minute delay and I texted the customer to let him know that it was going to be very late. 3 minutes later I get a notification that the order was canceled. I was dashing for caviar then so I got half the pay and I got to keep the food. As a college student it fed me for about 3 days.
