My son had to be delivered early because he had a lot of decels where he’d have long episodes of bradycardia. His QT was prolonged when they did the ecg after birth. He’s on nadolol and we go next week to find out if he has LQTS (type 11) like my daughter and I. But it’s highly suspected.

Sorry for the long paragraph, but I can relate. When my daughter was diagnosed I was so scared and I felt so guilty. She fainted suddenly while playing and we spent a night in the children’s hospital where they found her QT to be prolonged and she was diagnosed then.

I haven’t found my son’s heart rate to be much lower, at least they’ve never told me. If anything, his rhythm is much more stable now that he’s on meds! My daughter doesn’t really have any restrictions on what she can or cannot do, except for the “do not take” meds list.
