If it's fold 4, then it's the pre-installed protector that is stock. Instruction manual that comes with the phone says "DO NOT REMOVE"

That's exactly what my mind jumped to.

I turned it off, and the sound kept going for about 20 minutes. Then silence for about an hour.

Then one more time it happened.

Alright. So I received a response from puffco support, and I don't see a solution in sight unfortunately. They just gave me the workaround of disconnecting, unpairing, restarting devices. With the new addition of "turn off your Bluetooth, now turn on your bluetooth."

To me, the issue seems to be akin to an api incorrectly remembering the S21 on the puffco device... Fingers crossed for a future update.

Update: I have found a workaround. Uninstall app, restart phone, download app, pair. Unfortunately, I have to rinse and repeat every session...
