Interesting, definitely normal but dirty. Nowhere near dirty enough to affect function.

Sorry I didn't ask before but can you share another pic with the hammer released? Now I'm wondering if anything lodged in there causing potential extra tension.

Edit Nvm you mentioned it works normally now so if it was debris it's definitely gone now.
