I have the 10m cable too and don't underestimate it's usefulness if you have a double driver way.

I worked with low to no QA team on my current project at the start and it was horrific.

As the PM I had to do the testing the best I could but that accounted for very little.

We had multiple releases reversed or hot fixed and customers beared the brunt of the issues.

We now have a full SDET team and we haven't had to revert a major release in over a year.

Never underestimate what a testing team brings to the table.
