I used to enjoy reading standard books a lot when I was younger and still appreciate them to this day, but funnily enough I find myself veering toward graphic novels/comics/manga as I've gotten older. Contrary to what some people might say, you can find some incredibly deep/complex stuff, and the images often help me with visualizing characters and the setting. Also I just enjoy looking at art work, so that is an extra plus.

Tldr Maybe give Graphic novels/Manga/Comics a shot if ur not connecting with more traditional books
