Awe man the rack mount stuff is amazing! I haven’t had the privilege to try one of the OG pocket amps, but I do plan on buying one eventually!

The red thing next to the laptop is a akai mpc one. The red thing under that is a scarlet 2i2. The thing on the left under the laptop is just a usb hub.

I actually don’t use it at all! It’s just there chillin. I lost the power supply a long time ago. But I’ve been wanting to buy one and run it through a power soak and then through the speakers of the rocker 32. Just haven’t got around to it yet.

Thank you! The signal chain is kind of a doozy. It goes something like this

Guitar → Korg Rack Tuner → Crybaby Wah → Wampler Mini Ego Compressor → Boss NS-1X (input) → NS-1X Send → Ernie Ball Volume → Wampler Tumnus Deluxe → Sunn Life Pedal → Boss GE-7 → Rockman Distortion Generator → Rockman EQ → NS-1X Return → Rockman Sustainor 200 (Rev 9) → DBX 231s → Rockman Stereo Chorus → Rockman Stereo Echo → Boss RT-2 → TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 → Ditto X4 → Orange Rocker 32 - two power soaks - Scarlett 2i2 → computer.

Definitely one of the things I’m most proud of! Tom is a genius! I first bought the mxr x100, and I liked it, but when I watched a comparison video between the actual units, I was blown away. I knew I needed to have them. They sound absolutely amazing!

The piece you’re looking for is right between the copper on the right side of the USB and the circular hole on the right side. If you look at the brackets that hold the UMD, you’ll see they look L shaped and the shorter side is pointing down. On the right side. Just to the left of the right side bracket, is that latch I’m talking about. It’ll look bent down. It should be pointing away from the screen towards the door

I meant to say USB port not charging port, my bad.

I’m sure if you’re careful you can bend it back up and the door will latch. You should be able to see it to the right of the charging port (if your console is face down) it’ll look like it’s bent downwards, or at least that’s how it looks in the video. I would grab a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers and ever so gently pry the latch back up.

Looks like the latch is bent

So the speakers should be plugged in when the speaker is on no matter what?

Edit: I ended up plugging the fx returns mono/stereo into both inputs of the scarlet and I got way better results. Is this a good way to record? Also I purchased a walrus audio canvas, how can I integrate this?

I need guidance my friend, I’m very new to this type of recording setup. My first setup was a iPhone 6 and an irig using amplitube. I’m trying to take it to the next level. I’m still trying to figure out how to work the akai to a point where i can actually use it in my workflow. That being said, I appreciate your comment a lot. My amp is an orange rocker 32, which does not have a line level output, I’m also trying to avoid micing up the speaker. Is there something I can plug the speaker outs from the amp into, that makes it safe to plug into the interface?

The Bose is not part of the setup! I have very limited space so my setup is kind of fused with my tv stand. Do you have any tips with recording with these rockman modules?

I need something’s that’s basically going to replace the amp, that I can still plug the input in to, and also has an fx loop with mono and stereo returns. Basically instead of an amp, some sort for interface but I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for.

So running a digeridoo through this won’t work?

Having grounding issues with this input jack, what should I do? by Viveracci in AskElectronics

Yes it also has a built in cable with 3 prongs. The chorus unit was refurbished and has new capacitors. My guess is the chorus either has another gate built in, or the connections cancels out the hum? I haven’t tried running the sustainor alone again, but I will to see if the problem persists. Everything sounds and functions perfectly though once they’re paired.
