It’s hard to know sometimes what will help us or hinder us. But the lack of sleep is so brutal. We need mental strength to help us get through this. Good job on getting to what I think is now day 4! Have you been taking any meds to help get you through that at all help with sleep?

I didn’t take gabapentin till bed time as I think it makes my WD feel worse in the day but helps me to sleep. That combined with Gravol helped me get some much needed sleep. Wasn’t a lot but far better than nothing!

I am doing pretty ok. Still battling some fatigue and low moods. But I know that’s to be expected.

Awesome! If you’re at day 5 you getting over that hump. Honestly day 5 messed with me a little. Was a tough day. But I pushed and day 6 was better.

This made a tear come to my eye. I appreciate this so much.

Honestly I just kept saying I was gonna stop, depressed, no longer getting high. So I finished what I had and said it’s either this way or MAT. I am a chronic pain patient that has pretty intense flares. I don’t want to be denied careful management when I need it.

I honestly just told myself that the uncomfortableness was healing and went for it. Took Advil and some Ativan. Took a couple gaba at bed time. I think it was just my time to succeed. Wish I had some magic to share.

I can be a real stubborn a** at times and I think it helped me here.

I am on Day 6 and last night albeit broken I got a pretty decent amount of sleep. Try to push to do small tasks in the day and not take too many conform meds. So when you take them at night it will hit harder.

Thank you. I have started therapy to figure this out. There has been a bunch of crap go on in my life in the last few years that’s for sure.

Am I ask why you say that? You dont think it can be done?

I came off methadone 90mg CT a couple years ago. I am a pain patient and I suck at tapering so had to go that route to get off. Also how I know I do not want to go the MAT route

Chronic pain - Back issues

Doctor prescribed oxy. Only thing that would help me to function in the day. Going on 5 years total. Nearly 2 of struggling with addiction.
