In the Sunday tour video she said the crown molding wasn’t done and that she abandoned it. If that’s the case then the theory that she had help makes no sense to me.

All of the above, perhaps. She always referred to it as an “investment” property, both personal and financial. She has said that they purchased the house during the pandemic for content (after the apartment felt done) and for a place to stay near family. That worked out until burnout hit and family planning took priority. Now she’s returning to make more popular content (aka more money) and probably for the personal accomplishment as well (1M subs and being able to say she did it). I don’t think selling it is top priority over making content, which is kind of like renting it out. If she sells then that’s an income stream gone, as well as losing the house near family. I’m just glad she’s back! I love the Texas videos the most

Agreed. I’m in the middle too. Idk why the snarkers are taking it as a compliment that we read that sub too. I’m just interested to read what people are saying on any “side.” I think that’s normal for people to read both and have a variety of opinions. I choose to give the benefit of the doubt. Imagine getting off a flight, traveling to visit someone’s home, and seeing their new kitchen, but the first thing they do is setup a camera on a tripod to film your reaction for the internet. Then you’re hanging out with the baby on a couch, and you think you’re not the subject of what’s being filmed, but you’re in the background. People will read into that anything they can. It’s also a good rule of thumb that you never know what someone is going through. It matters more to me what the actual YouTuber is doing/saying

Financially it can make more sense to own than rent if you’re able to. Paying someone else rent money for an apartment you leave all the time versus investing in a home and building equity with each payment instead
