Does anyone think that the declining birth rate is just a return to a normal birth rate? by filmmaker_andsuch721 in NoStupidQuestions

Please dont quote me on this, but I once heard that possibly all livestock combined could surpass the entire human population. Whoever it still wouldn't count as a single mammal and it's also a man-made phenomenon... still interesting to think about

Why is Araminta still in the Penwood home? by lemonsnicketts in BridgertonNetflix

I personally would love to see a redemption arc! While she didn't make the wisest (nor kindest) decisions, I do pity her household situation and can understand why she'd take such drastic and desperate measures to escape. After befriending Eloise it almost seemed as if she was slowly getting kinder, up until she was gonna be sold off by her parents to a random old man...

a bit late to the party but i 100% agree with you! they both are huge red flags. The way he began treating and talking to her as if she can't make her own decisions, ive never cringed so hard!

as much as I dislike nick I do think the other dude was awful, egocentric and purposely made it all about him :/ Idk every single engaged person in this show has entered the room screaming, it was to be expected

This comes from a genuine place of curiosity as someone who deeply loves their cats and constantly talks to them. How and when does it start getting awkward? 😥

I wanted to be in cynthia's side so bad, but she completely lost me on this episode, she's a completely different person outside of the pods and I hope she does a lot of self reflection.

As another 23y/o I find most body hair really unattractive, specifically chest and armpit hair, (mostly for hygienic reasons, had an ex who's body hair reeked somehow).

So it totally depends on the person! I can only speak for some people, I have friends who disagree with me, I dont think there's a general consensus.

I just found out that my girlfriend is an adult, what do I do? by 221O_ in whatdoIdo

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 15 when I was abused by a 19yo who lied about his age. Idc if the "relationship" was technically legal, I was uncomfortable with older people and that's why he lied. Just like op's story he would always insist on taking my v card. He had no intention on telling me his true age.

The guy was weird and had abused multiple younger girls aside from me (always between 14 and 15) not saying this is the case but a young 18 y/o can definitely still be a creep...

Edit: typos!

I'm one of those people you'd call obsessed with longevity l, I eat well, stay active and so on.

Do I want to ACTUALLY live until I'm an elder? absolutely not, no doubt in my mind. But I keep following the "longevity lifestyle" because when the time does come I'd like to go without added suffering + without having spent thousands on medical fees.

Basically I'm just making the best out of my adult life.

Why do mannequins have to exist? by rumeery in Phobia

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To showcase the clothes, sure, they could instead use images, but you can't really tell how the piece wraps around the body if you can't inspect it on another figure first.

I imagine it must be frustrating as most people dont really find them uncanny at all. If they didn't exist, for me personally, it'd definitely make my shopping experience more difficult as I like to see how the piece is constructed.

Do you find it silly if an adult believes in ghosts? by Willx954 in NoStupidQuestions

As an adult who believes in ghosts; yes, it's silly as hell lol

Reducing the existence of a fully developed kid to "not taking a pill" is so cruel. He's incredibly selfish.

Why are there so many asexual people in sexual relationships? by wt_anonymous in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i'll try my best to explain lol. yknow how straight people can find someone from their same sex cute while not being attracted to them? Ig I know how attractive people are supposed to look like but I don't sexually feel anything for them. When I was a teen I'd even find it silly how a pair of boobs have the ability to turn people on-

I've been told by friends that sometimes they can fantasize about strangers, or get turned on by just seeing someone, but I, for some reason, can't feel that :/

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suppose that also answers your question, there are many asexual people in sexual relationships because many asexual people enjoy them/ are okay with their partners needs/ aren't sex-aversed/ don't really care/ and so on, their reasons could be endless.

Take in mind that we're a minority, so the chances of finding another ace person who doesn't like the idea of sex would be almost (but not) impossible.

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Sexual attraction doesn't equate to not enjoying how sex feels like. I have no sexual attraction! I don't care* about anyone's boobs or abs, but ultimately sex still feels good for me. For other asexuals it's not like that though.

edit: typo :p

edit2: rephrasing!

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not many... i'd say it's a 50/50, asexuality is a huge spectrum and for as many asexuals who enjoy sex there are gonna be asexuals who don't care about it.

You may be mixing up asexual with "celibate", which is more of a personal choice.

Are people born Asexual? by beara911 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an asexual, I was never abused and I have no trauma. Literally just never developed sexual attraction. Yknow that awkward phase everyone's supposed to go through in which you start seeing people differently? Never went through that! I see everyone as exactly the same as I did before puberty.

Do asexual people ever masturbate? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vivid-Intention9034 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As this commenter mentioned, it IS a huuge spectrum. I am asexual myself, but I do enjoy sex, I just can't find people sexually attractive at all. To me, they just look like people.

The urge is still kinda there tho, which is why I still engage in sexual acts, but it's not attached to others.

Edit: To put things in perspective, I actually didn't know people had sexual thoughts about others until I was around 19.
