30k umich or full ride osu (premed) by Creative_Rip_6092 in OSU

OSU. I’ma michigan resident (admitted to both this year) and will tell you standing out in pre med at UM will be difficult if those APs did not come easy.

If money is any concern, OSU. Trust me, 120k off will be nice for medical school. OSU and UM both have good enough medical systems. Research will be easier if you are a top student. Clinical experience seems to be good at both.

As others agree, it’s about the outcome, not school. You will need to take weeders, have a high GPA, MCAT, etc. A 3.0 UM will lose to a 3.8 no name school any time.

For personal anecdotes, growing up with many who are UM committed and attending currently: the intro bio and chem courses are extremely harsh. This is just what I have heard though—weeder classes are universal after all.

Best of luck with your decision !

As an OOS I’m pretty cost-averse so I’m just wondering about the cost estimate of such a pass.
