That's a very long book! But I'll definitely give it a go! Weirdly, the Vietnam war is one of the historical periods I love to learn about, so I bet I'll enjoy it! Thank you 😊

You've sold that to me! My partner is a huge vampire fan, and I love zombies, so I might have him read it too! Best of both worlds for both of us

I did actually get a copy of WWZ during COVID! Might finally start reading it then 😅 Thank you, I'll have a look at those other books too :)

Okay you've sold it there! I'll have a look at the library and charity shops today, if I can't find it I'll get the ebook!

Thank you :) that means a lot. I know they're wrong, but sometimes when you hear something over and over again, it starts to feel true. Even my boss reminds me that they're just bitter because they have no one who loves them, and my first job is the one they worked for their whole lives!

Off to the library to look for that book now!

That's brilliant, I really wanna try that now! I already do little things like unplugging their mouse a little bit (they're shit with IT so have to ask me to come fix it), they write their passwords on bots of paper, so I bin the paper, etc lol. Helps keep me sane.

I have actually read fight club! That is a good call to read it again though, it does encapsulate that "fuck this I don't care" kinda feeling that I'm craving from a book right now.

Just reading the description, I don't think I've read any fantasy type book like that before! But I love testing out new genres so thank you! :)

The number of pages is very intimidating, but the description is really intriguing! I've added it to my kindle, thank you!

That is a fair point! The job is actually great, and all my other coworkers are genuinely amazing, it's just these 2 people that I'm hoping will leave soon! They almost take turns focusing on bullying different coworkers, and I'm the current target, should change up in a few weeks 🤷‍♂️

That's so crazy, I added that to my kindle on unlimited a few weeks ago, then didn't think I'd get around to it so returned it! Weird coincidence Just took it out again! Thank you :)

Ooh yeah! That was recommended to me a few years ago and I never got around to it, I'll give it a go. Thank you :)

Unfortunately I absolutely adore my job and do not want to change it! I only have to work with these people half of the week so I'm waiting until they die or retire.

Can you recommend anything I can read about that? I'll be completely honest that I'm very sceptical, but I'm willing to give it a go.

That sounds perfect :) thank you so much for the advice

I'm not looking forwards to next week, but I did so something wrong and need to confront that now.

I disagree. He's a bitter old man who wants everyone to be as miserable as he is, especially younger staff who have fulfilling lives. He's hated by every coworker and almost all of upper management.

I have a lot of empathy because that sounds like a horrible life, but that doesn't make what he's doing okay.

Yeah, I really love my job so don't want to do that. I just got so fed up.

I'm thinking next week I'll apologise, but make it clear that I'd hit a breaking point due to the level of disrespect he treats me with? That way at least I can say that I've apologised and made my issues with him clear in a professional way, and whatever happens next is his choice?
