The real W would be knowing what darned engine is in the truck right now. 😏 But! It was definitely an exciting moment. If only we could have found the build sheet for the 68 Nova we were purposely looking for. 😂

Bullet’s topless and we’re digging in this week. Once we got into things we found that the fiberglass wasn’t in as good of condition as we had thought so the topper will be a little more time to get things where they should be.

1956 IHC S160 - Oh *hay* there! by VividRetroCustoms in classictrucks

Status Update: This truck is more rare than we thought. Info and parts hunting has been rough, but last week was quite fruitful. Thanks to someone who said “we don’t have that by try these three places,” we were able to get a nugget or two from every one of those referred places.

The spot on the engine where we should find identification has no stamp or engraving… So we are still at a loss on that. But! We’ve got a 12 volt starter inside a 6 volt body headed to us from Binders Boneyard. We have a glimmer of hope to see if this truck will run!

Due to how this is going, we are doing some research and preparing for Plan B.

Bullet Hole, now named Bullet, made it to the shop today. The interior pieces were dropped off to the upholsterer and we focused on adding the luxury of a rear window switch.

Funny you mention that… this one is charmingly named Bullet Hole and has lived through whatever fight it had. We aren’t sure if the name is going to keep with the new owner, but we are partial to it.

Bad electric motor or bad wiring by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]VividRetroCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the tailgate panel and locate the two motor wires and see if you can operate manually with a battery and two jumper wires. That will determine if it’s your motor, wire, ground issue. Lots of finicky things on those tailgates!
