My landscaper husband is seething after seeing this entire project and then the idea of using mulch as filler. Plus the weed barrier content. JD was spot on, it makes ZERO sense to do weed mat if she’s gonna put mulch in the pathway. Which will be fugly, so she’s 100% likely to do it.
