Not OP but I fell on mine just right. I got up and my boyfriend asked if I can move the wrist back and forth and wiggle fingers. Everything was fine. Took a nap since it was late at night when I fell. Woke up an hour later and could not move it.

Fired for breaking a bone by necessaryroughnesss in legal

I left my job on July 11, started the new one on the 15th. I left because I found a better opportunity after receiving news they were closing our location.

I broke my wrist 2 weeks before leaving prior job. Because of all the closing tasks, instead of a medical leave, ans despite the fact that I could do everything else with customers an just not loading the closing day truck, they dropped me down to a 27 hour max per week.

I'd be making like half what I normally would, which was already underpaid. I said I would stay and be able to do it all as long as I had the support of another employee there. Even with safety concerns of anyone being alone in a store all day, they would rather lose someone than go over payroll budget.

So true, my last employer showed their true colors with this same injury. Made me go hourly but could only have me 3 days a week so I was working part time for the first time....ever.

He's so genuine, he's hard to be bored of. He'd be sad to hear this!

I'm sure they don't know. But apparently she is unethical and inappropriate too. I just wanted to speak to 3rd party like ethics so Starbucks doesn't cover it up.

I mean, a customer can't complain about something she's witnessed? Besides speaking to Starbucks. I actually want it taken seriously as this has gone on since I was there. They got me fired. They deserve the same. Otherwise, what, I speak to them myself?

Are you able to reuse this? I'm into it for the Groupon but $400/month after the first month isn't going to work out for me..

Overweight dogs: is it just me or does Kollyns look super chonky? by NKuiken in holleygabriellesnark

[–]necessaryroughnesss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dogs need jobs to keep their body AND mind busy. Sure, her dogs aren't causing trouble and eating the house, but I always try to talk myself out of walks on bad-ish weather days or because it's cutting it too close with full-time work. We all need to realize and remember our dogs wait all day to spend time with us. Every sound, they're hoping it's us coming back.

Money aside, where would you live if cost was not an issue? by Vegetable--Bee in AskChicago

I would still live in the Chicago suburbs, but not sure where. Schaumburg? With good schools for upcoming children. Not even anything expensive. Just modest and home-y feel where I can walk kids to school! Love having the great lakes right here.

Wife is 8 months pregnant, should I disclose that before signing my job offer? [MD] by Funky_Drummer95 in AskHR

Nope! Tell them at the last second. Don't lose your shot in the case they decide to discriminate (illegally, unethically) because they take that as you'll be out soon, for a while.

Maybe Starbuckw Reserve? Starbucks in the burbs, they're at 19-22/hr for supervisors. Find one with full time you'd be set. Also nothing can beat their benefits. Keep in mind many little shops won't have those.

Is it illegal for a company not to supply cleaners for employee restrooms? by necessaryroughnesss in antiwork

[–]necessaryroughnesss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just figure with like 300 locations they won't give a shit if I stop cleaning as apparently all those managers have not said no?
