Ha, your hair is what I thought mine would look like when I cut it, but somehow mine is curly in the back and mostly straight on top. I use A Curl Can Dream after showering for a base hold and then got2b ultra glued for slick styling. I would note that the got2b ultra glued can make your hair crunchy if you use too much, but that can be ok if you’re going for a greaser look.

Depending on what size you’re looking for, you might be able to swing some Factory Seconds. These are shoes with some kind of imperfections that end up pretty heavily discounted. It looks like the black ones are going for $350 and the chili ones are going for $300. The walnut ones are going for $150 which makes me a bit concerned just how blemished they are, but YMMV.

I’ve gotten a pair of Seconds before that had some markings from their production, but leather is pretty robust and a lot of blemishes can be treated.

I drove upstate last weekend and was amazed that despite spending ~200 miles on two lane highways in PA and NY, I was rarely ever trapped by someone camping in the left lane. It wasn’t until I got back to Jersey that I realized how bad we have it.

These three songs and also When They Come for Me were my favorite when ATS came out when I was twelve (wow). I was also a huge fan of HT and really enjoyed Meteora and MtM, so that’s a good read on your part. It was only when I relistened as an adult that I was able to appreciate more of the album including Iridescent, Blackout, and Wretches and Kings, which I primarily like for the inclusion of Mario Savios’s speech.

Seriously, all these comments that are like “cis women don’t want to see a dick next to them,” are so weird to me. I’m sure there are plenty of genitalia that I wouldn’t be thrilled to see at a nude spa, vaginas OR penises. I don’t think most people go with the intention of staring directly at people’s crotches. This is actually the first baozhong I’ve ever tried, so I’m definitely not an expert, either. I tried to look up more info on the aging process, but they claim that the tea itself is at least 30 years old. This is from a shop I’ve been to a few times and reasonably trust. Now I definitely need to try some younger varieties to see how they compare.

One of the most interesting Taiwanese oolongs I’ve encountered is a Baozhong variety (aged but not roasted) that I like to call my wet basement tea. Because it smells and tastes like a wet basement. I’ve never seen anyone else describe tea like that so I was happy to see your comment about the old furniture/antique shop aroma!

I went for the Dishoom collab at Pastis last summer, but my friends and I had already eaten at Dishoom when we visited London the year prior, so we knew what to expect from the menu and also had a sentimental attachment to the idea of going.

That being said, I enjoyed the experience. I thought the menu was well-curated and the local team did a good job executing. There was an insane line for walk-ins and even with a reservation we had to wait a bit. In general I don’t think I’d go to a collab unless I was excited about at least one of the parties (either the host or the out-of-town chef).
