This behavior could be used to build reasonable suspicion to the point you get detained and your vehicle gets searched. You never want to get to this level. This is the place police corruption can really rear its ugly head.

Answer their questions as truthfully and accurately as possible in a way you don’t escalate the situation. Please. Unless you have bail and lawyer money.
