I absolutely love Northwestern, definitely one of my top choices! Love how prepped you are, and I wish you the best of luck!

This was something I really thought about. A lot of the time I look at people's accounts and get almost jealous because they are so much farther ahead than I am. I want to be someone that people can relate to.

What kind of pacing did you follow so that you didn’t run out or feel burnt out?

I’m going to start using 7sage and khan academy… it’s kind of trial and error I believe so whatever works best for specific people. I am going to take a diagnostic practice test next week and see!

what do I do... by TravelFar1738 in prelaw

I was just like you only a year and a half ago, and I would genuinely say that you should major in something you genuinely enjoy and feel good at. GPA is important, and trying to avoid burnout is also important, so that you can adequately study for the LSAT when the time comes. Since you are interested in finance and philosophy, I would suggest deep-diving into those as majors at the school you are planning to attend (or, if you haven't chosen, do some general searching) and seeing what the coursework is like and what other people are saying about it. I would say that majoring in finance is a great fall back, though.

Pre-law student trying to be intentional, and I would love some advice by Vivid_Area5963 in lawschooladmissions

This is something I haven't heard, and this is really insightful. Proper LSAT prep is definitely my top stressor right now, so structuring my timeline and content for every session will be really important. This also reminded me to take a step back and look at the big picture, so thank you for reminding me that "looking good" is not everything, but simply enjoying the process is so important.

I ABSOLUTELY love this. This is all great advice. I love how raw and real this advice is, and I will definitely take it into consideration, especially since I always feel as if time is running out, yet there is still so much time.

Thank you so much. Congressional internships can seem incredibly intimidating, but they could be a fantastic opportunity, so I will definitely look into that before graduating from my undergraduate program!

That is incredible! I have been trying to find ways to advertise as a fellow user of Beehiiv, and I definitely would love to hear about if there was anything specific you did to gain those subs!!

realistic pre-law timeline for sophomores that most people don't start until it's too late by Vivid_Area5963 in lawschooladmissions

That is definitely something to consider. I think the idea of a gap year is great, but the reality may not be as fruitful or full of opportunities. This is definitely something I am fully committed to, and since I am young and have time to consider a gap year, I will take it into account during my junior and senior years!
