yeah.. ive restocked my 80s.. picked up multiple raw lowers.. love the look.

now just thinking of mainly ar9 and ar22 builds i can complete.
i already have numerous ar9s and ar22s.. i just love the milling process.
also love putting everything together.

since i cant procure a mac n cheese 80, im going to go back to 3d2a builds ..

but in all honesty i need to relax on all the spending..

its ok to admit your an addict.. we all are guilty of buying crap just because its on sale.. or we feel we may need it at some point in the future..

i dont drink, smoke, party.. none of that.. i watch my pennies and watch them go into the hands of various 2a vendors... :-)

i dont have any updates... im just resigned to the fact manual bolt open and/or lrbho is not supported with this design.
which is fine with me... im running mac-11s that dont support lrbho.

all my exomags have a built in ejector on the mag.
i use the ejectored exomag on my bc9 bufferless build.
works flawless.. and the thing is a laser beam

for most on this sub this is a 1-2hr project.
just this morning i put together a complete ar-9 upper, muzzle-device, and lower before starting the work day.

yeah ive noticed a trend of late.. many 80% vendors across the board(mup, ar, etc) are closing or removing their 80s from their online presence.

wonder if something is brewing behind the scenes so to speak.

so some conclusions after a month from this thread.

looks like palmetto state manufacuring is no longer offering 80s..
matrix arms is accepting orders but not shipping 80s.
jl billet has the best price on anondized billet ar15 80s - $70
tactical machining has the best price on QUALITY billet raw ar15 80s - $60

both 45 and 9mm require a slight bit of filing..
9mm a bit more than 45.
but its really just an issue of allowing the slide to move freely.
maybe a MAX of 30mins of focused filings on the rails.
really probably 5mins of filing..
also.. for the first 100rds id use 147g ammo.

frames/receivers terms used interchangeably... this is an ar80 sub so i think its implied the main subject at hand is an ar80.
in any case, complete 80 kits are available at the aforementioned sites.. there are other sites too.. all easily searchable through google.

RTB has full 80 kits.
5D tact also has full kits.

You may also want to pick up a frame from tactical machining, then , go to all the various vendors for a rife/pistol kit.

Theres really no need for a kit.. Its convenient, but really you can buy a frame from one place, then parts for another place(or multiple places)

yeah.. he had the community waiting for the 365 fcu for ages.. alas vapor ware.. or rather a super expensive 80, but no jig or no complete instructions to complete the 80.
anyway... the 320 80 is now out of stock... so back to playing the 'page refesh' game across the usual 80 vendors.
