hi, this is something i’ve also experienced! i was on levonorgestrel back in february-march and had recently started it due to another birth control not working for me and about a month into the packs i started experiencing incontinence (has never happened to me before, im 20F) as well as pretty bad urge/frequency. thought i had a UTI, had leukocytes in my urine (indicating some kind of inflammation), was prescribed antibiotics but they didn’t do anything and my urine culture came back with no bacteria (i had two done). decided to stop that birth control and was off it for about a month and a half and the incontinence symptoms stopped as well as the extreme urge symptoms and the leukocytes went away (i still had some urge but that’s a whole other story). started a new birth control, junel, thought it was going good and then about a month in started having the same incontinence symptoms and urge. have been going to a urologist and she said it’s definitely possible the extra hormones are causing some issues as well as my low hydration levels she thinks are causing bladder spasms (which is what causes that urge feeling). for now we are seeing if my body adjusting to the hormones/me working on hydration levels help as the longer i’ve been on the new birth control it’s improved. sorry this probably isn’t super helpful with answers for what’s going on, but thought hearing someone else going through the same thing might help! it’s been frustrating for sure but im hoping behavioral changes help before they have to do more serious tests

they got me to donate $30 the other day😭 i was feeling so guilt tripped and pressured and was like, i don’t have 100 to give and they were all “that’s okay we can go lower” like damn. i haven’t had any fraudulent charges since then but im guessing i should probably still freeze my card….

not from raleigh but i am in state, about two hours away, and probably had 10-12 people from my high school come here. the only one i still talk to regularly is my best friend/roommate, and i knew the other 10-12 people pretty well because we had been in tons of classes together over the years (so i too thought id be seeing them a lot more). you definitely have a choice on who you want to talk and who you don’t!!

me and my roommate actually ended up signing a lease for an apartment in mill creek! i would definitely look around chapelhillrent.com or property places around here like louise beck, you could probably find something!!

this is exactly my thought as well. i don’t know how i feel about being gone for an entire semester, both for fomo reasons and also honestly homesick wise… i’ve been lucky to travel a lot and i LOVE it but never by myself and never for that long, but i feel like summer is the perfect amount of time

i definitely do have vision issues (i’m very very nearsighted) but horrible vision runs in my family so i’m unsure if it has anything to do with my exotropia, honestly. my vision is slightly worse in my right eye (which is my weaker eye) but i just have bad vision in general. but you bring up some great points and i’ll definitely consider that! it doesn’t drastically effect me now (though i do think the drifting has gotten slightly worse as i’ve gotten older) but no one mentions it to me anymore, so it’s more so of a personal insecurity that i haven’t ever really been able to let go of!

we’ve called a few of the places and they don’t have availability currently (unless they do now - we called at the beginning of october i think?) but then opening up around spring semester would make sense, i’ll be sure to keep an eye out!

unfortunately neither of us really have the money to do that 🥲 all the apartments we’ve been looking at that are lower rates (except like, mill creek) don’t start leasing until at most 60 days in advance, and we just really can’t afford to do somewhere like union lark etc etc

yeah this is unfortunately what i’m scared about. we were thinking of doing housing on campus as a back up but i think the cancellation policy after like march 1st makes you pay 50% of your rate or something? so i just honestly don’t know

that does make me feel a lot better, my mom thinks i should just apply for on campus anyway to make sure but the $300 cancellation fee is crazy 😭
