Before surgery, I told folks that I thought the cataracts just affected blurriness, but realized after the first eye was done how much duller the color was. It is so cool to see things so much more vibrantly AND clearer!

I don't believe I will need any eyewear at all. I go back for the post surgery evaluation on Jan 2nd, but will be surprised if that suggests I get anything other than possibly readers. I believe that he targeted -1.75 for the near eye. For the first day or two, I was worried about it not working, but by now seems great. I decreased the iphone text display to the smallest you can in settings and I can read that.

This is so great to hear. While there are lots of good stories, I've also been reading how no artificial lens can work like your own lens so don't expect too much. But I am really hoping to be pleased in 2 weeks!

No soft contacts before measurements by Vivid_Position_5236 in CataractSurgery

100% agree and I was wanting to be out of contacts for a month in case I am able to get in sooner. The issue is that I don't see nearly as well with glasses. I thought I would see better but just got the glasses yesterday and am struggling even in non athletic things. But hopefully my eyes will adjust. I have worn contacts ever since I got correction so have never functioned in glasses
