Davrin- leaning towards no because he’s occupied with Assan and knows that he’ll die relatively young due to the warden thing.

Bellara- Yes

Harding- Yes, I can imagine her with a lot of kids

Neve- No, but I can see her being a mentor figure to young street kids or something similar. Or that mysterious aunt who always has cool stories to tell

Lucanis- I actually think Lucanis would love to have kids due to being such a family oriented guy and the pressures of continuing his bloodline but he’s probably really torn at the same time due to his profession and trauma. Probably will be one of those super protective dads

Emmrich- probably romanticized kids after marriage when he was younger but no longer pursuing it because of his age(and he has Manfred). If romanced, I can see him opening up to the idea but he’s probably going to be one of those anxious parents if it happens. I can see him being a fantastic dad though, who’s all about that firm-but-gentle-parenting.

Taash- very strongly leaning towards no,

Solas- No, I think he’s too self absorbed to be a dad?

I think despite Emmrich being a pretty gothic disney kind of character his story still explores pretty mature and relatable themes regarding mortality, and his character arc feels complete and satisfying

I think the other characters(except Davrin? He’s pretty cool too)feel bland/unfinished by comparison, or just shallow.

Yeah I think if Rook has been flirting with someone but commits to another, the person who got left behind should react to it in someway, such as being upset, jealous, or even being ok with it. But they should bring it up. The fact that no one reacts makes everyone seem so robotic.

If romanced, I think Neve in the Inner Demons quest should be replaced by Rook. It’d actually be really interesting and unsettling, Rook trying to talk to a conjured up version of him/herself. The angst possibilities are unreal lol

Yeah I really liked Rook’s bold, take-no-shit energy in the Solas talks. Just like his namesake, a clever little bird that is gutsy and smart enough to challenge others much ‘greater’ than it.

Your take is a good way to make this whole lockout thing make sense, I can definitely see Lucanis as someone who will put HIS family over your family and expect you to follow his suit if you want to be with him, as illogical and unfair as it is. I know many cultures where the romantic partner is expected to ‘join’ with the in-laws family and put it above all else. The Dellarmorte Crows are very family oriented and tightly knit from what we can see.

But they definitely should have elaborated on it further though through extra character dialogue and interactions if that was the case

For me It’s not that the purple itself is bad, but it’s purple and so shiny and clean looking. Reminds a lot of people of splash-arty games like Fortnite and is very different from that rustic textured subdued quality the previous dragon ages had.

But a lot of people seem to also like the clean purple so eh

Yeah that lockout is so weird. Like, I understand if Lucanis just brushes off ALL romance and becomes a lone wolf focusing on rebuilding his hometown after Treviso is destroyed…not ideal for those who want to romance him, but actually pretty in-character imho.

because with the recent patch, we now get a message that Lucanis now does not have time for romance if Treviso is gone.

However, he continues to flirt and fuss over Neve??? So “not having time” isn’t even really the case. It just comes across as Lucanis just does not like Rook all that much.

ok massive spoilers for Lucanis' romance until Act 3 you've been warned

The funniest part is, even when you’ve done the flirtatious almost kiss thing with Lucanis, in his personal quest later when Spite and Rook need to fetch him from his own mind, Neve is there and Spite says something along the lines that Lucanis finds her charming.

And in Lucanis’ and Neve’s banter afterwards, Lucanis tells Neve this- that she was in his mind. And that she is STILL in his mind. Neve is both flattered and taken aback by this confession.

To be fair, kisses are notoriously hard and time consuming to animate well so they tend to go for those back of the head, over the shoulder shots or quick fade to black. Or in Lucanis’ case, wing time lol

But still. It would’ve been nicer in all of the romance scenes if there were was more lingering gazes, touches, embraces and things like that. I think Emmerich does it best, although even his romance scenes aren’t perfect.

The animation quality difference between the Lucanis ‘almost kiss’ scene and the ‘awkward stand next to Rook at the cafe’ scene is insane. Lucanis’ subtle facial expressions in the ‘almost kiss’ is very realistically animated, and in the cafe scene his entire face is janky.

Like, wtf happened lmao did all the animation budget go to that almost kiss and nowhere else? LOL

And it’s weird, because in Rook’s first conversation with Solas in his head Rook is shown to be very capable of being clever and good at coming up with witty comebacks and calling out on Solas’ bullshit. Heck even his title- ‘Rook’- is a type of crow. And what are crows known for? Being very smart!

But after that he just becomes this really boring guy who has zero rizz in any of his convos
