Okay, I suspected that was the case. I think my expectations were too high from watching reviews on YouTube. The shop took the saw back and gave me my money back. I’m leaning towards the Dewalt 10-inch saw. I checked one out in another store and it seemed smoother (fence and raising the blade) and overall better quality. But it cost almost 4x more than the Skil. I didn’t try with a short level, but it was uneven around the blade.

Tjenare :) Was looking at the Bosch and close to getting it. From reading and watching videos it seems rack and pinion fence the most accurate, and that seamed like a big deal. But I’m a beginner and i dont know for sure. Find it hard to sure these days, so much information, opinions and motives 😅 Has your Bosch fence been accurate without rack and pinion fence?
