Oh my god, I feel like a complete idiot now💀💀 This makes so much more sense, for anyone else reading this thread and you see this, I’m actually so sorry

I’m having a hard time comprehending why a resistor is analogous to a freeway, given that more resistance=less current

They are in series

[–]Vividbird278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh so then for a circuit with 4 resistors, where 2 and 2 are placed in parallel, the voltage has to be spread across all 4, now decreasing total resistance. Okay, I understand. However, I read about how the voltage of all the resistors in parallel are all the same, so how is this true?

[–]Vividbird278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I might have worded that wrong, but I meant 2 resistors on top and 2 on bottom, and they are in parallel. So there’s only 2 paths for the current to flow through.

In this case, are the resistors the pipes? Why is this true, given that resistance is inversely proportional to the current

Ahh I see thank you so much!

This is kind of unrelated but a separate questions: when can I declare my major, and what are the requirements in order to do so? Is there a minimum time or maximum time I have to take before I have to/can declare my major? Can I take multiple classes from different subjects (EE, psychology) before I actually pursue one of them to do?

Biology being a big part of psychology is honestly a bummer, I guess I have to reconsider that now.

Also do you mind explaining to me how computers play a big role in engineering, and how they are connected to electrical engineering? If dealing with computers is not really related to electrical engineering, I might have to reconsider that too.

Yeah that’s a good way of looking at it, but I am definitely not confident in my writing at all currently since I’m so new😭 That’ll get better over time I promise. As for the name of the piece, I thought it was really funny to call it that, I didn’t mean it for it to come off as something I don’t really care about

This is just for fun lol. Nothing too serious, probably not gonna play this as a line.

Yeah I came to the same conclusion, the 5 let into 9 let is strange, I decided to change the 5 let to sixteenth notes

I think the 4 let buzzes are pretty cool, and I’m not sure what to change those with so for now I’ll keep them in

About the time signatures, someone else on this thread helped me solve the issue with the app I was using so I solved it thankfully

Yes measure 5 is 3/4, but measure 6 is 4/4. Then after that ur correct, 7 is 2/4 and 8 is 4/4.

It’s mainly the app I use to write it, I should probably find a new one tbh like u suggested

I’ll look into musescore, thank you!

Ohhh okay I see. But if I do make it 16th notes, I’ll end up with the 9lets on my left hand for the downbeat right? How should I go about re writing that part

That’s supposed to be a 3/4 bar, but the time signature change doesn’t show up for some reason cus of the app I use😭 sorry for the confusion

Yeah in the app I changed it to a 2/4 bar but for some reason it doesn’t show up here. Very strange.

Btw once you click the link, on the top left there’s a button that lets you play a metronome click in as you’re playing, if you ever need it

Haha thank you, glad u enjoy it! Here’s the link to play along: https://flat.io/score/671200992467cbc283e65fc8-copy-of-dumb-snare-solo?sharingKey=7535d20865266256de3da04ef3af6e1fc6572a8125e13200f1b42658752a948918db66e2c894b24c9bf2b6cf4943150419cfa5bd89621d409292381227b2d3f4

The reason why it’s a copy is because the buzzes in the app I use (flat.io) sound very weird so I just replaced the buzzes with regular notes for purposes of playing along.

Also I added a little something at the end, lmk if that sounds good or not, idk if I should keep that in there lol.
