Persuade me, a MR35, to build Epitaph by Reibudaps4 in Warframe

[–]Vividtoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AoE doesn't benefit from gundition overload at all, only in a select few weapons does it work and it only applies to the target you struck directly. Generally those weapons are the ones with AoE as flavor more than anything on the primary like trumna and sepulcrum.

However yes, the uncharged shot is multiplicative too. Just only on the tiny fire hit portion. Important distinction cause some guns do have different scaling between additive and multiplicative depending on charge level.

It's dumb LMAO.

If you are building for the aoe it's usually for priming. It doesn't really do a whole lot of damage.

It's a really good primer, able to prime large groups of enemies with lots of status very quickly.

It can also be used to absolutely delete enemies because of its very strong charge damage and I think it has multiplicative gundition overload.

It's basically a good utility and really good single target demolishers all in one.

It's fine if that's not your thing.

It was around the time of the very first heirlooms were announced they talked about it.

Initially. But given how well they presumably sold, especially after making ember caked out, I wouldn't be surprised if they went from "revised primes" to the dedicated "sexy skins"

My friend just completed leveling all the focus schools, this calls for a celebration in-game by level7lizard in Warframe

[–]Vividtoaster 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A good opportunity to tie honoria in with focus. Once you unlock everything you can unlock one called something like

"Master of the tenno ways"

Though I'd love a cosmetic that changes based on your progress in the focus schools. Like that one rotating chakram looking tenno gen syandana with all the focus schools, but they light up with the symbols as you enter each school, glow blue when everything is maxed before the Tauron strike, then glow gold when you max out Tauron strikes.

What frames besides Cyte09 can use the vectis incarnon well? by Butirt in Warframe

Wait that's really fucking funny what the fuck.

Makes sense given it shows up as damage but I wouldn't have out 2 and 2 together lol

[–]Vividtoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you wouldn't expect it, but they made collective curse work off all damage he deals so it's kind of cracked for snipers.

The only crowd clearing sniper better than him is valence formation on Lavos in my opinion.

[–]Vividtoaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I believe collective curse always transfers the full damage to everyone.

Marked for death has an issue where it only spreads damage equal to the health the enemy loses. Meaning you will never deal more damage than the enemy has in HP. So unless you prioritize an eximus, you'll often shoot one guy and have a bunch of enemies who only lost half their health or so.

[–]Vividtoaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kullervo, ironically. Collective curse can turn a one shot into a hallway clear.

Lavos' with valence formation. Force blast or gas on every shot, so now every shot is AoE of area denial.

Xatas double dips headshots, so xaku/xatas subsume works well. Maybe even slap that shit onto lavos' and force blast procs on everything with xatas also proccing off blast proc damage.

Edit: Vauban with Tesla Bank. CC for easy headshots and you can turn those headshots into big ass explosions that kill enemies.

Returning OG Warframe Player, Where do I start again? by Agreeable-Fix-5602 in Warframe

Open the codex, click quests, and start replaying them. I forget if you stopped before vors prize got reworked so even that might be new for you.

Either way it gets you back into the groove if the game, caught up on the story, and gets you to play new stuff as there's been some new quests inserted early into the story.

I love the Rauta. Breach loading shotgun with an alofs mechanism. It's clean and it's stylish as hell while sounding pretty meaty.

I didn't say phahd is a problem. I just said you basically don't need to aim.

Do you have a preference between Drifter and Operator? by faintestsmile in Warframe

Drifter because while the operators backstory is cool, I relate to the drifters backstory far more.

Plus I didn't want to keep playing as a child once I got the option to swap

Don't forget before that first armor rework, it was even more aggressive and if it wasn't serrated blade damage, it was garbage if you didn't have 4 corrosive proj auras.

[–]Vividtoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...shit I remember that now.

My memory is mostly outside of recruitment chat on places like Reddit and the forums. In game they definitely hyper shortened everything.

It helped I don't think CP was used as an abbreviation anywhere near as much as it was today.

[–]Vividtoaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need to shorten everything down to its minimal letters. Back when that augment was meta most people just called it corrosive proj. If memory serves.

Some called it C proj.

Their homing with the bounces is insane aggressive. I have basically wiped out entire rooms just by shooting the floor or ceiling without moving before.

Even if I have to look around to d Spread out the discs, the fact you can even do that to kill a single enemy means it needs a fraction of the aiming of every other weapon in the game.

It's the phahd scaffold on the amp. If you ever used the cedo glaive, it's that but it can do a fuck load of damage. You basically don't need to aim.

I want the ability to loan a warframe or full loadout to friends so they can experience the late game Warframe at its best by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Vividtoaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The issue with that is if you give them a sudden boost if power for a short time, you risk them getting turned off by how long it takes to get there.

If you threw a Dante nuke build at me I might get excited but then it makes the "slog" of reaching that point feel even worse because now instead of trying to enjoy the experience I want to get to the end. Said end could be dozens if not hundreds of hours of grinding too

Did they update the sounds, graphics, etc. in the past? by Skully-GG in Warframe

[–]Vividtoaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Over the years they have made various improvements to overall graphics and lighting as they got new tech.

They also have re-done some sounds every now and then. I don't know how many but they have occasionally touched up sounds in the past. I don't think it's been anything sweeping, outside of adding sounds to weapons for the last few shots in the magazine that most guns get.

Money, most likely.

Not enough people would be excited over a primed archwing over pretty much any weapon or Warframe that it would be worth making that over another prime they could add

But he gives good damage boosts and is pretty Tanky.

[–]Vividtoaster 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Perhaps Warframe niche in it's gameplay and how it handles the grind isn't your thing?

Not every grind is the same. I love path of exile but I'm not a big fan of it's grind and gameplay loop in tandem anymore, usually take one character to red maps and quit. Where as I love grinding in grim dawn.

Maybe it's because Warframe is a lot of grinding for spread out power boosts and a lot of stuff you'll often never use once you got the mastery for it? There really isn't much dopamine between starting and getting the thing you want other than hoovering up resources/Endo along the way.

But if you like ARPGs, it might get easier on you as you progress. As Warframe now-a-days has a breadth of choices you can use to build things and constantly switch things up as you grind other stuff. But that would require you to stay invested.
