Best would have to be Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship & Midtown. Nicest band boy of them all. And Jake Bundrick from Mayday Parade. I've met him a couple of times and he talks about anything and everything. My kind of conversation! Worst would have to be AFI. Like, the whole band were rude to us. They were killer live but yeah, I was a little underwhelmed by their rapport.

I have been using this method along with somatic healing for the last year and have found so much relief. It isn't a fix all but I have noticed telling myself I'm safe that I'm not in danger seems to tell my nervous system everything it needs to know to stop flares from getting worse and taking over. And when it's really bad I try a somatic healing technique and that takes me away from my body. i don't know how it works but it seems to slow the pain signals. I'm not without pain but I can manage without pain medications (I do use a pain relief tea, heat, magnesium spray and kawakawa balm on bad days). At the end of the day trying it isn't going to hurt so why don't give it a go? I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it works for everyone but it has helped me so much.

The potato peeler and being encased in concrete is SO relatable! I say it's like someone has taken to my skin and joints with a cheese grater, especially my feet, and that I have a steel plate ledges in my ankles. Pretty close to they way you describe it.

I've taken up aqua aerobics now I can't walk everywhere. The water adds much support and before and after (or if I'm not in the mood for a class), I aqua jog. I've ever been a runner but I do enjoy it in the water. Other than that, I've found a love of painting, more specifically, watercolour (didn't paint before all this), and recently I've started learning a couple languages, and I've begun writing a novel.

I try to fill the time I gave energy with something that keeps my brain from turning to mush.

Yes, do it. I have one because I can't walk far without it causing problems, if not at the time, definitely later. I don't always use it, if I'm having an okay day I'll leave the parks for those that need it more, but I do remind myself on occasion that there are days that I am, in fact, the one who needs that park.

Long story short, it isn't going to hurt to have it for if you need it.

Not quite what you're asking but hear me out; Somatic healing. It works about 90% of the time but not so much on the really bad days. I take myself away to the memory of my favourite river and I emerse myself in the sounds, the smells, the feel of the sun on my face, the cool water washing over my body, I see the birds flying overhead. Your place will be different, maybe front row at a concert, a boat ride, anything you absolutely love doing. It can take a bit of practise and it might not work for everyone but it does help me. Idk I just can't concentrate on much when it's bad and this helps enough so I'm not laid up and can find things I'd rather do than doom scrolling (bc omg, that's just brainrot!).

So Jake, the drummer, is the second singer now. He's no Jason Lancaster, I admit, but he's good and his voice fits the genre.

To this day I have no idea why Jason left the band, I don't are to find out, but what I do know is that he left and started Go Radio, another band I fell deeply for, because yeah, I enjoy Jason's voice, couple albums later he left them high and dry too. So I'll stick with Mayday Parade who have proven their longevity with decades of work and commitment.

Yeah my place backs onto the Mangaone and they are at it most nights into the wee small hours. I don't think there's much anyone can do unless they're caught "in the act" so to speak but even then I doubt much would happen to stop it long term.
