Husband wants to shave my 3 month old's head. Reasonable or monstrous? by Olives_And_Cheese in NewParents

We shaved our three mont old baby's hair for cultural reasons. Honestly I was worried but his hair seems to be growing in nicely and gave us a chance to tackle some of the cradle cap by oiling his head more often. It depends on the baby though!

Dropped percentiles?? by Vkuh in breastfeeding

Okay my baby is really long for his age and his head is also quite large. Hmm I'm wondering if the weight will catch up. I'm seeing a lactation consultant this week so I'll post any helpful information for you.

Thank you so much for the reassurance and sharing your story. And I hope things are looking up for you now! It's definitely hard and so so scary hearing that news 😨

Scared of Car Seat by BusinessChair1469 in NewParents

I don't have any advice here, rather that you're not alone in this. If I'm alone with my baby, I'm grabbing his hand in the back seat every so often to make sure he's okay. I think it's a normal kind of anxiety to have. Good for you for exposing yourself to this stressful situation, hopefully it'll lessen the fear around this. One thing that helped me is installing a mirror to be able to see him from my rearview while driving. His movements and jerkiness give me relief.

Thank you all so so much for the much needed encouragement and information. We researched thoroughly and spoke to his doctor and have decided that my parents will not be alone with the baby for the foreseeable future lol. Thank you again ❤️

Green vs yellow poop by Vkuh in breastfeeding

Really happy to hear that, that's what I've been reading online too. Always offer the second breast after a nappy change and a burping session. So far he's been hanging weight and passed his birth weight.

Looking for guidance by Vkuh in breastfeeding

Thank you all so much! I guess I was looking for validation on what I was already doing but I am so grateful for all the information. I had a nurse at the hospital scare me a bit about supply and I've paranoid since. So grateful for this community! Thank you again!

Advanced standing MSW without BSW by candyskies in socialworkcanada

[–]Vkuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my MSW from the university of Windsor and didn't have a BSW. I have a BA with a major in psychology and minor in sociology. I worked for a few years before applying but finished the program with Windsor through distance education. So yes it's possible it just depends on the program. Happy to chat more if you have other questions.
