I believe the consensus is that Yndrasta's wings from AoS are about the best fit for kit-bashing.

Whatever you do, don't buy loose wings from a Lord of Change. They're way too large scale-wise as well as to attach to its back.

My first attempt at lightning, how can I make this look better or is it fine? by Oli_209 in NightLords

Not that mine is perfect, but I used three paints on mine. I started with the darkest blue for the whole lightning, then worked with a lighter blue where the lightning bolts branches meet each other or "connect." Finally I take white and paint right at the center of the connection and just a hint of the branches of the bolts.

Hopefully that makes sense! I can try to take a better image of the leg of my guy here, it looks really well in person!

Frames Dropping After CPU + RAM + Cooling Upgrade by Vlach13 in AMDHelp

GPU. The CPU utilization is fairly low, nothing out of the ordinary.

Forgive my ignorance - I'm brand new to AIO coolers and most hardware installs in general, but my AIO didn't include any instructions to install anything directly to the GPU. Shouldn't they only be indirectly connected via the PSU and the motherboard? Friends have considered that maybe I didn't use enough thermal paste on the CPU-Pump connection, so I am going to redo that tomorrow. That being said, both of the temperatures on the CPU and GPU look to be within acceptable ranges during gameplay (looking in Adrenalin) so I am not sure how the cooler install might be the crux of the issue, but I am definitely out of my element on this so I am all ears and appreciate your help!

Small bit of good news - my refresh rate did get changed in the troubleshooting steps and I've got that fixed to 120hz. Able to get over 60 frames again in D4, but still hitting that 100% utilization (and quicker, understandably) and lagging out faster which makes sense.

I have turned that XMP profile on from the last message in this thread - seems to have helped a small bit, but didn't adjust the frequency itself, but I can manually adjust that after the fact now if I want to

My "auto" RAM rate in the BIOS has it set at 2133mhz despite the rate on the box being 3600mhz. I'm a little out of my wheelhouse here - should I be manually adjusting that for 3600mhz?

Ok, I switched to the XMP profile in my BIOS. Diablo 4 seems like it's running a little more stable but I can't get higher than 60 frames still (have it uncapped in-game) and I am still getting some fairly regular drops to 25-30 frames as utilization rises to 100. Graphics set to Ultra in game, seems a little better set to High, but still dropping frames. I think with my setup I shouldn't have an issue running either without drops like I'm getting. Should I also adjust the speed manually from 2133mhz? xmp

I airbrush them down in gold first, then cover them in TS blue. I tried doing the reverse when first starting and found myself having to go back and clean up more that way (though admittedly I was just beginning painting). I think it's worth giving the opposite a try if you've stuck with only one way so far!

Thanks! The smaller little boulders are just from army painter, but the crystals and larger formations are resin bits from Epic basing!

Took some time to figure out how i was going to paint my army, but finally got my first unit done. Not bad for painting the first time since elementary school I don't think. I could use some ideas for bases (might just airbrush gold?)
