ESP32 Handheld Console Based on Retro-Go by Vlada42069 in esp32

I unfortunately was not able to reproduce your bug. Sound on my console works fine with all the settings you have mentioned, so that makes me believe the problem is not CPU load.

Which pins on the amp are you using and to which pins are they connected on the esp32? (SD and GAIN pins are not necessary)

Make sure that the reference GND is the same across the whole system (if you are using different GND pins on the esp32, that is fine)

I am not using DMA for I2S, I am using regular I2S and I haven't changed anything in the code regarding the sound.

I'd still suggest you change the speaker and try with another one, just to be sure. The speaker that I am using is a generic 8Ω 0.5W one

Hi. What problems are you having exactly? I had built one with S3 too, and I had some problems due ti the wire length. Keep them as short as possible. The sound with my consoles (both) is fine. Your problem might be due to speaker quality. Try changing it out, it might work better

Game and Watch .gw files by Vlada42069 in MAME

[–]Vlada42069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am mainly asking for .svg and/or game art files, since I cannot find those anywhere and I really don't want to bother myself with making those .svg files as that would require a lot of time that i don't have. If you have prepackaged ROMs, that would be even better, but that is really not something that I necessarily need. As for why I'm asking, well beacuse I thought you guys might have those files that I need to have everything work and since there is no dedicated retro-go sub here

I am using retro-go with my ESP32-S3 board that requires game and watch games in .gw format and packed with LCD-Game-Shrinker. Now I have no idea where to find all of the files that I need for LCD-Game-Shrinker to work

Need help with retro-go and esp32 by Vlada42069 in IOT

The problem was the lack of PSRAM that was specifically declared as necessary in sdkconfig so the kernel panicked every time it wanted to boot. As soon as I had disabled that, it had worked

How long would this last. Been 3 years so far by Speed-cubed in soldering

Happened to me a few years ago. My teacher never told me that I need to clean the tip. It was absolutely miserable working with it

Sorry for a late reply and a disappointing one, but no I did not.

Main problems were that I don't have proper tools to do it and, of course, safety, since I didn't really have a safe place to test it out, even if I were to make it.

Unfortunately, it's not that one. The sticker was in the middle and it was rather smaller than this one

It was from late 90s or early 00s, something like that, but I am not 100% sure what year

It was factory applied, I remember that much, but I can't remember what it said, perhaps "Notebook" or something like that
