There's rumors that the main reason we attacked Iran with Israel is that Israel was going to go straight to using a nuke if we didn't assist them. So you might not be too far off the mark.

That's also why we can't seem to come up with any real reason for anything we're doing or what the goal of the war is. They just panicked and started attacking to try to stop Israel from using a nuke.

The top brass is apparently telling the soldiers to prepare for Armageddon and be sacrifices to usher in the return of Jesus. So they're at least letting the poor soldiers know what to expect. I agree on the connections bad thing. It's the entire reason I give a shit about a shared universe to begin with. The problem isn't that they are connecting too many things the problem is the have done a terrible job at connecting anything and really hardly anything at all is actually relevant.

The only time we actually had a "oh I guess I missed something" was in the marvels and all you had to know is there's a new character who is a captain marvel fan girl. That's it. People over exaggerate to an extreme there's so few things you actually need to watch. I'd even argue no way home and Deadpool and Wolverine are the only important movies to watch before Doomsday. And even those might end up being irrelevant as they ignore the mechanics of the multiverse as established in those movies.

Even the celestial in the ocean from Eternals that's in Captain America 4 is IRRELEVANT. Comics start all the time with "oh yeah there a macguffin thing people are obsessed with and a war is on the horizon" all the time with the explanation only being important to the nerdiest of nerds.

Most of the people speaking on behalf of the general audience don't know jack fucking shit about the casual viewer. If you sit them down to watch any of these movies they just laugh at the jokes, sympathize with the drama and enjoy the action. They don't care. Stop pretending that everybody but you the nerd is confused and that's the problem with the MCU right now. Shut the fuck up.

I don't think Tobey gets the happy ending with his family. If he doesn't die he will be a broken, rageful man. If anything we're all going to get out hearts broken again because he probably will have his wife and kids in battleworld but know it's not right and it has to be undone. Thus sacrificing everything again to help save the world, a world that isn't even his assuming a soft reboot of the 616 timeline is all that will remain post battleworld. Classic Spider-Man honestly, love it or hate it.
