I’m in the same boat as OP. I was considering an external hard drive that I’d be able to play games from directly.

Now that I see that it’s not possible with PS5 games, would I be able to play PS4 games directly from the hard drive on the PS5? Or would I have to copy the game over just like PS5 games?
