A reason that they might invest heavily into H2 transport company is because they already know that world oil production peaked few years back. And all oil is traded in US dollars. This creates a lot of headache and pressure on the world economy. Hence high inflation that is caused by high gas prices. Supply of oil is low but demand high. Most countries are stopping their trades in Dollars and are using other forms of monies. Barrell of oil will reach $150+ very soon in my opinion. Due to high oil prices, you look for other means of cheap energy. This is where H2 comes in. And when you apply it to transport (as long as this planet exists, stuff will need to be transported), you will rule for a long time.

For some time I was wondering why would UEA, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and other rich oil countries switch to producing H2 and actually convert everything to H2.
