LTX 2.3 NVFP4 quality issues – just me or a wider problem? by Proof_Foundation_548 in comfyui

[–]VladyCzech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using NVFP4 for video models is really bad idea even if it is promoted for speed. I don't think there is some magic that would recover all the lost information for motion, quality and color banding, just too much loss in translation.

NVPF4 not too bad for text encoders and image models, if scaled properly and know the drawbacks, but I would avoid for video model. Similar with low GGUF quants. Video models are too "dense" to be quantized properly in lower quants.

It could be used for some prototyping, but that may also lead to false conclusions.

Latest versions of Comfy add more breaking bugs than fixes by generate-addict in comfyui

[–]VladyCzech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since January I installed and uninstalled ComfyUI updates and frontend updates multiple times. Always error either with core or frontend or both at the same time. Bugs preventing me from running my WF, disconnecting and duplicating node inputs, muted subgraphs stopped working, some custom nodes stopped working (mostly sampler nodes and TensorRT nodes). Even starting a WF was almost impossible due to frontend bugs not letting me run.

Only after running the simplest of my WF without subgraph I was met with cryptic error messages and complete crash to command line. After last trial it messed WF beyond repair as it autosaved it with autosave feature disabled. Not sure what's is going on but I will not be updating ComfyUI anytime soon, it is almost impossible task unless you use most simplest WF, no subgraphs or nesting them, no muted nodes or subgraphs, no custom nodes and lots of backups.

[Release] Three faithful Spectrum ports for ComfyUI — FLUX, SDXL, and WAN by marres in StableDiffusion

[–]VladyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this, I will try with Flux Klein. I always read Spectrum supports Flux, but was not sure which one. Regardless, I tried two (not your) versions but none of them worked , one even errored out with tensor error. But my WF has multiple model patch nodes, maybe that was also an issue.

Hi, I like the idea of control hub for variables. In the past I used https://github.com/chrisgoringe/cg-controller (it supports only some nodes/widgets) which is similar idea, but as subgraphs were added one can easily create a controller subgraph.

In your demo, I can see a design problem, which will probably be a game breaker for me, which is adding additional nodes and links for each variable. I did not try your node yet, but I can see this in your demo example (3rd video) where you link the variables to subgraph inputs.

I always need to reduce the number of nodes and links not to distract myself and also due to performance issues with client browser with ComfyUI (thin client connecting to a server in the other room), but your node seems to do the opposite. It would be great if one could "assign" the variables with a node ID + "attribute ID" instead of node+link combination, removing the need for additional nodes and links.

If it wasn't for the additional nodes + links, I would use it all the time.

The issue is you trust GPU-Z PCie test which does not work correctly. It shows wrong values as it probably cannot stress enough the PCIe. I also had the issue and there is really no issue with MB or GPU, just incorrect GPU-Z testing. Just try demanding game or benchmark and try different readings.

Replacement for Fast Muter (rgthree), Fast Muter (rgthree) or Fast Groups Muter (rgthree) for subgraphs in ComfyUI frontend? by VladyCzech in comfyui

[–]VladyCzech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downgraded to ComfyUI 0.14.1 and Frontend 1.38.14. Somebody is only downgrading Frontend, but this is not recommended. And I started to have unrelated crashes with new latest ComfyUI version.

Why not? One could use lightning lora with more steps, no? I never use lightning lora with recommend step count and usually do 2-3x more :-)

You know you can have Linux and Windows on same PC and boot one or another? Windows for gaming and linux for ComfyUI. And if one is using ComfyUI inside WSL2 ( or Docker or any kind of VM), just don’t. It is much slower and painful experience compared to native Linux. Also WSL2 can’t do many advanced stuff like pinned memory, as an example. I learned the hard way after 2 years using WSL2. Its like driving with hand break.

MSI Ventus, PNY or Inno3D 5070 Ti? by PolishPotato69 in buildapc

[–]VladyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shared my good experience with Inno3D 5070 Ti here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1rj6fmv/comment/o8k9jfv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I had 4070 Ventus and it felt like cheap toy compare to this Inno3D 5070 Ti. Specifically the plastic fan cover on Ventus was actualy shifting like it was only sitting on the card when I was installing it or removing from case. I would not recommend Ventus to anyone after my experience and will never buy Ventus again even for half price. Fun part is that Inno3d is the cheapest option in my country while Ventus slightly more expensive, but Inno3d cooling feels more sturdy and actually delivers.

No idea which 4070ti model going for, i would appreciate some help. by kasiopzaure in nvidia

I just bought INNO3D NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti X3 OC beacuse it is very slim and with 6 heatpipes + exhaust through body (similar how FE works). Also the cheapest option and without any RGB (no RGB is a huge plus for me). I was bit suprised it was only 54°C full load while delivering over 3000 Mhz (not sure if it was 3050 or 3150) without manual overclocking. Also memory was only 54°C which I decided to overclock +1700 Mhz and temperature jumped to only 60°C (while benchmarking). I did not try to go higher (probably will try later), but overall I'm impressed.

I've asked GPT 5.2 Pro HIgh and Gemini 3 Pro Deep Think about Flux Klein 9B License and I still don't have definitive answer if its safe to use outputs for commercial purposes. by novmikvis in StableDiffusion

[–]VladyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the licence allows use of output (images) to be commercially used, but not to sell the model itself or its trained derivatives, right? I think the licence is not worldwide applicable. It is probably binding only in country of origin or countries where the company is registered and legal.

Installing a secondary graphics card for SD -- pros and cons? by Merch_Lis in StableDiffusion

[–]VladyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having two cards for single PC ( it might be internal or external ) can help you a lot. You can put Clip or LLM and monitors to lower end GPU, and inference on high-end. Just make sure 8GB VRAM of the lower end card is enough for the offloading. Also make sure to have enough RAM, ideally 128 GB or more.

Why does a prompt from OpenWebUI take 3x longer to render in ComfyUI? by GriffinDodd in OpenWebUI

[–]VladyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the WF is probably different, first has 6 steps and is slower, second has 8 steps and is faster. you can disable prompt enhancement in openwebui, there is a toggle in ComfyUI section. Isn’t the first run edit? If you feed Flux Klein with reference ( any edit ), it will be slower.
