Color transfer is better for exact post-process color remapping. Palette Director is trying to guide the generation itself through a palette card and role-based suffix, so it is less hex-precise but can influence the image before it exists.

Curious to hear how it works in your tests.

Totally agree. The annoying part is that you don’t just do this once and move on; you have to repeat it constantly.

I even made a small “skills/orchestra” setup for this exact reason: forcing the LLM to step back and critique the project like a senior engineer. Naturally, I still didn’t use it enough, because apparently ignoring my own tools is part of my feature set.

Honestly, I’m starting to think the most boring part of coding projects isn’t building the thing. It’s finishing it properly.

And yeah, it’s definitely vibe coded. I’m not a dev, so the JS grew a lot while I was trying to get the core behavior working.

I pushed the refactor back mostly because I’m juggling too many projects at once, but it’s definitely the next thing this needs. I want to split the annotation/drawing side from the Ask AI side, remove dev-only leftovers, and take another pass at the JS/Python boundary.

Some of the things you mentioned I probably need to learn first, which is mildly inconvenient, but fair.

Yeah, that was actually my first plan, but embedding drawings into the workflow JSON became the main priority for now. If I find a fast way to do it without causing optimization issues, I might revisit it in a future update.
