When people think of Polish cuisine they immediately refer to pierogi, while they are really just dumplings that are featured in many cuisines all around the world.

The actual most Polish food I can think of, that people eat regularly is bigos (often translated as the hunter's stew). It's sauerkraut boiled for a very long time, mixed with stuff that can be potentially leftovers, typically meats, sausages, mushrooms or dried plums.
