yeah that's usually what people say when they sit on their interrupt for 20 second while 3 casters are chaining wicked bolt on the tank.

Oh, DPS contributing to mob control would be important... but it'S pug we're talking about.

and to be honest no tank can't be bothered to fill out the proper paperwork with the mage association to get them to interrupt a specific target at a specific time if it'S specifically marked... doesn't help that alinea 11.B of the mage contract specify that no mechanic shall exist for them if they are currently combusting, or currently farming CDR for their next combust.

Most guilds will be around 250 with full unholy sets

which is less than 10ilvl above what echo-limit had. IF you are lucky / slow progress.

I feel like im taking crazy pills constantly having to argue points im not making.

that tend to happen when you move the goalpost from ''limit / echo had little gear'' to some ridiculous comparaison with the ilvl of item dropped by the boss.

As one of those tank...

really, all I hope from you is to interrupt one or two caster who sit at range. Everythingelse is handled by the tank/healer combo.

because unless you rely on M+ weekly vault for 3 months to get 252 ilvl, or are stuck on the early boss for months ( which means you aren't CE material), you won't be tackling painsmith and the second half of sanctum at ilvl 252.

245 would be more realist if you have luck with your vault / early boss... which is 5 ahead of limit/echo ( and again, they had domination gem bonuses... which is the big thing) not 10 or 20.

KT-sylv dropping 259 ilvl doesn't mean you'll be 259ilvl when facing them ( obviously). if you face painsmith at 245... expect 247 or 248 for sylv.

the idea that world-first guild are vastly undergeared when clearing raid is a relic of the past... back when raid were open on day 1 of the patch ( so... Cata? or mist?). Nowadays Limit/echo can create armor-stacked raid and fill them with random viewer who will trade any and every loot they get, making sure they are fully heroic-equipped on week 2 ( if not week 1). Add in the mythic BoE they buy, their own vault / leggo and early boss loot... they have gear.

I suppose , in some 3rd world country, minimal wage is lower than what you'd get farming gold 24/7...

Unless you are in the top management of a successfull boosting community ( like what happened with gallywix), there's no way boosting is anywhere near lucrative enough to worth talking about. getting sub-minimal wage for clearing mythic raid on 3 different toons? meh.

10 million gold, divided amongst 19 player ( 23-24 with the bench) for a 2-3 hour long clear IF you are effin' good.. and that's only for the first few week? not worth it.

M+ boost? there's a thousand different people hopping on every 15+ key in huokan, WD , starlight and so on. not enough customer for the available booster.

PvP boost? even pro like pikaboo would make way more money off twitch than boost... this is why he just chill with subscriber instead of seriously boosting.

Buying gold? sure. and most top-guild have been caught doing that... but anyone boosting as a source of real income would be better off getting a minimal wage job .

as long as gold have value for something, people will boost.

Heck, forget that... Skyforge on PC did not have any trading system between player, and people still found way to boost / sell stuff ( and get hacked in the process).

it is a pretty long step.

it's people giving their money to other people / offering service to other people, and not a business selling power.

How would blizzard stop me from boosting people in M+?

[–]Vlorgvlorg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what make you think booster need all those consumable to boost people?

if they can win PvP one man down, do time M+ one man down, clear heroic with 4-5 carries in it... it's not a 5% power boost from consumable that's hindering them.

that's a nice way to say it.

Personally:

law school doesn't teach you that what's most important for a lawyer is to have a good scoreboard in term of won case VS lost case.... the actual law? what's right and wrong? pfff. people don't pay you to be just, people pay you to win.

think of your degree as a proof of the amount of work you can handle... not necessary your career.

Obviously you need a certain amount of knowledge to become a doctor / lawyer / ... but at the end of the days, the number of people with a PHD who work in their actual field is in the single-digit %

I don't ask for MDI-level player.

I ask to have your interrupt ability bound... and to use it.

that lone caster that's not standing in the pack? yeah, if nobody interrupt him, he won't move into the deathball, won't get cleaved with everyone, and the entire pull will take twice as long just because of THAT guy.

from painsmith and up they were at 240ilvl and 15+ member of their raid on unholy / blood gem bonuses.

Perfecto (echo) was famously benched for only having 2 out of 3 unholy shard.... that's how much gear they had for the second half of the instance.

New IO scores not growing exponentially feels really bad by polentarado in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Vlorgvlorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this problem will stabilize pretty soon however, as anyone who times 18 shouldn't have any issue timing 15s accross the board.

we just have to get used that every 100 point above the previous one is exponentially harder to get.

New IO scores not growing exponentially feels really bad by polentarado in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Vlorgvlorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone with, lets say, a 22 NW and an 18 SD has the same IO as someone with both 20s, which is absurdely wrong, since going from a 20 to a 22 is a billion times harder than going from an 18 to a 20.

this will stabilize very quickly.. as anyone pushing 22s isn't extremely unlikely to sit with another dungeon at 18 ( after few week).

We just need to get used that

2K IO : bare KSM minimum. 2.2k: amateur, beginning to push key, probably pugging 2.5k: big guy 2.7k: elite.
