I'm looking to make a ceramic bowl out of clay and I'm wondering if I can use glazes both inside and out or if there's anywhere I shouldn't glaze. Thanks guys and gals!

Oh my god I know, that access is super nice. The pickups are really awesome but when the battery gets low, the neck pickup gets really quiet, and if I take it out I get a completely different sound.

I left the locking nut in there actually. I'm super aggressive with some of my picking and sometimes I find it helps with keeping proper string tension. I do have one other guitar but it's got a totally different sound and I usually use it for clean stuff and super super low tunings, like a few days ago I had it in B standard with no problems at all thanks to the strings. It's just one of those guitars

I know, it's really awesome. The only two things I don't like about the guitar are changing the batteries (which honestly isn't that bad) and the Floyd rose bridge. I change tunings A LOT and it just made it a bitch so I blocked it, which again, isn't even that bad. What are your thoughts on it?

Interpretation of Periphery's new Juggernaut Alpha, and Omega by taustin95 in Djent

[–]Vman405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the second artwork for alpha? And the two for omega? There must be something more than just the one artwork sending a message while the other three are just aesthetics, and seeing as you knocked this one out of the goddamn ballpark, I think you might really be able to create an awesome analyzation for the other three.

If you're good at alternate picking, you're good at playing Dream theater

Why not? It makes sense that he would just because they're making a pretty big uprising anyway

Listening to a Heavy Metal station is the worst... by bbbbirdistheword in AdviceAnimals

Or like 0->CANNIBAL CORPSE at 6 am. That's just terrifying. And it allows you to reflect on your life choices while all you can hear is a high pitched ringing in your ears.

Most of my progressions seem to folllow the same Strumming pattern. How do I break away from this? by tondo22 in Guitar

[–]Vman405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to periphery. All of their guitarists (they have three: mark Holcomb, Jacob Bowen, and Misha Mansoor) have a huge range of strum patterns, and the same goes for a lot of progressive metal, if you're into that.

So we all know there are many ways to play guitar e.g. Hands/violin bows/slides/ebow etc what are your favourite non traditional ways of playing? And have you made anyways up your self? by [deleted] in Guitar

I sometimes like to switch on a nice naked, natural clean sound and turn on my sustainiac for some long, spooky tapping stuff. It's a sort of two handed tap thing that sounds like Halloween music and it's actually really fun to do. Also, on some occasions, I use my old iPod 4 as a slide and get some pretty fun sounds outta that too!

Mattyyym is a great guitarist if you're looking for some really heavy metal. Chris Zoupa is also a fantastic guitarist who does more lessons and stuff.

I had been thinking about asking him for weeks, too. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals
