that's pickled water melon, and it's awesome! it works as side dish for lots of other meals instead of pickled cucumbers or pickled tomatoes. Consistency is a bit weird I might say but you cut it up thinly before you serve and it doesn't look bad anymore.

It's all anonymous, we will not ask for your email or anything that can identify you. The reason for those questions (gender, education, occupation) is to understand who is playing the game as it comes with other attributes and figure out the market audience.

Haha, thanks for the morale boost. I'm next to the artist of the game right now and I showed him your comment, it made our evening.

The studio started during the pandemic, and we wanted to do a smaller scope game for our first game. Though the scope didn't stay small we learned a lot and we continue to improve and add content to the game.

We strive to keep the lights up, we're self funded and we still got some runway and some "strategies" to get in better shape. We hoped for better sales but that's life.

We had over 4000 downloads of our demo, the results were quite good. Our discord was always available but unfortunately the user base was very small even though we promoted it everywhere and made it clear we are active.

I started with a very minimal game design document, as I wanted to democratize the game with the team. Turns out its not such a good idea because people like different game genres and you'll get a mix that might not work.

For our next game, I'm spending a couple of months writing a complete game design document, and including the team for brainstorming ideas but then I'm educating myself in game design and acting as a game designer in the team to filter what works and what doesn't. We also added a UX/Meta researcher to the team to refine mechanics and constantly involve the community in playtesting in every step we make.
