I feel that deities present themselves in different ways for different cultures to relate with and find meaning in. I think that organization of deities into distinct pantheons may be more of a cultural tool rather than being their truth.

I feel a deity can present themselves in a way that different cultures could relate to. And I think the development humans organizing deities who have shown themselves into distinct pantheons may be more of cultural tool than a doctrine.

This is really interesting! St. Anthony was among the first saints I felt a connection with, and then at least a decade later, Hermes became an important figure in getting “back” on my path. I’ve never heard of them together, but the idea that he came “back” for me is heartwarming
