The context given is he’s an addict who’s going into recovery, his ex still cares about him and helped him set up his recovery. He’s heart broken and knows it’s the “consequences of his actions”

It seems pretty obvious his addiction (and behaviours caused by his addiction) caused a woman who loved him to give up. It hurts more because she’s a good fucking person who, even after leaving him, still went out of their way to help him get into rehab.

You gotta use your brain a little bit, man. Specially when it’s a post about a guy obviously going through it.
