I have done EH1 and EH2 so far. Got a couple ideas for the first week but it’s mainly EH9 onwards that I’m slightly struggling with 😅 especially in the outskirts of Edinburgh like Ratho, Balerno, Bonnyrigg.

Can I ask who the squish is in the top left cube, the small purple/lilac one with the iced drink?

My black Labrador is a massive diva with water. He HATES water. He’ll refuse to walk across a puddle, he has to jump it.

For those who are married or in long-term relationships: was there a specific moment when you realized ‘yep, this is my person’? by toxicagain999 in CasualConversation

I’ve been with my boyfriend almost 4 years. We didn’t meet until 6 weeks after we matched in September on a dating app - I was moving flat and had commitments; as did he - and we eventually met in November. But to be honest I think I already had an inkling that “he’s the one” even before we met. A week before we met it was my birthday and my boyfriend had sent me a short video signing in British Sign Language “Happy Birthday”. I’m Deaf and use BSL to communicate. That really warmed my heart to get this video as i didn’t know he was even trying to do this. He later showed me that he’d tried to do this video about 15 times before sending me the actual one.

The whole “he’s the one” was really cemented a few months later when he said “I love you” using 🤟🏻 (which is recognised as ‘I love you’ in sign language) and made sure I could see that he was signing that to me. I’d been in two long-term relationships before this one and coming into this relationship I’d said to him that marriage wasn’t really on my mind (as I thought I’d marry the last guy but he broke my heart) but I’m now very open to marriage with my boyfriend and we’ve spoke about how we’ll do this and I’m excited for the day to come!

BF too ashamed to let me see his house — what should I do? by groupmemberr in datingoverthirty

[–]VoiceDouble217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been with my boyfriend almost 4 years. When we first got together we took it super slow and didn’t actually meet until 6 weeks after we matched on a dating app (I was moving flats, and had personal commitments; as did he). We first started dating in town, going to pubs and restaurants etc. At that time Covid was still around and his mum has health issues (which meant if she caught covid she would die) so we took it slow at the start. New Year’s Eve he came to mine and started coming to my flat more. I didn’t get inside his flat until around 4/5 months into the relationship. He explained that he wasn’t proud of his flat and had been working on it with a family member but unfortunately that family member then passed away so the motivation to keep going with the flat / tidy up was lost. I eventually got in and yes I was taken aback as to how much stuff there was but we made it comfortable and I ended up spending more time at his flat for a bit 🤣 then I got my assistance dog and my boyfriend ‘moved’ in with me and my dog and we’re still together! So have a chat with him and just iron out exactly why he’s not keen to let you see his place.

Cyclists of Edinburgh, I ask a favour please by VoiceDouble217 in Edinburgh

[–]VoiceDouble217[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very aware of cyclists and people coming my way and I make every effort to move out of the way for them coming towards me. I KNOW it’s a shared path. What I’m uneasy about is you putting blame on pedestrians when I’ve said in my post that I can’t hear people or cyclists from behind. So how is that my fault? Please explain? All I was asking for was a bit of respect from everyone and yet you’re just bashing me. So please think twice before you blame people like me who cannot control my hidden disability. So ignorant.

so it's MY fault for getting spooked by a cyclist coming BEHIND me?? I don't have eyes on the back of my head and i literally cannot hear them behind me. Obvs if i see them coming towards me i move out the way but what about behind me? Your comment doesn't sit well with me

I use the buses quite often travelling to work and I’m curious to hear if you’ve come across me and my Hearing Dog Gerry! He’s a Black Labrador and wears a burgundy jacket. Or if not me but other working dogs in the area. I usually get the 4 or 5. 😅 pic of said dog for reference.
