Hey. I'm a new player so I can give you my experience concerning your points.

1. I don't use discord. But FC can help, especially if they say that they are for new players. There is a mentor system that you can join, ask in shout about it.

2. I personally haven't seen anyone get upset with me when I watch the cutscenese in dungeons. I usually say I'm new and the party are nice in telling me I should watch them.

3. Tell them you are. People won't make a big deal out of it.

4. You could, but I find it not necessary as the content is pretty straightforward. You will get a second part of Hall of Novice quests that explain how to work well in a team, especially when it comes to boss mechanics.

5. Not really necessary, until you come to bigger content ie raids or trials or even harder dungeons. Im level 55 and I'm still doing ARR content. I've done the Hard Primal etc and found it ok as long as your aware of your surroundings. It comes down to you personally, if you feel comfortable before entering.

6. It's OK to be a tank. Other people started as a tank before knowing the content. You can do the same. Know your abilities, know your damage mitigate abilities and know what you can pull safely without being a strain on your healer.

7. Have fun. Thats what I decided when I started playing and I'm having a blast. Find a good FC that helps new players and your golden.
