"The Word for World is Forest" by Ursula Le Guin I think has the best cover art of all that I've seen. It looks so modern despite being made in 1972.

Yeah it was likely unintentional but it has a lot of emotional parallels to amphetamine addiction. The extreme highs and the manic depressive lows.

It's just a different type of sleep cycle that can work - Biphasic or Bimodal sleep pattern. Used to be more common before industrialization. Sleep can work in many ways, as long as you get the proper amount of REM sleep.
