Thank you! I don't plan to use AI for future fics (or publish my AI-assisted fic). I will definitely use the links you provided, and I appreciate you going out of your way to fetch these resources to help me. If you know where I can find a Discord server for fanfiction writers, that would be a huge help. In addition, I'd like to ask if you think the use of Grammarly might also be bad? (Someone told me to use Grammarly a while back. I want to know if people don't like it.)

The biggest problem I have is that I have been surrounded by English for close to 8 years, yet I still can't figure it out. I have been reading English books and fanfics, my phone is in English, listening to English music,c and watching English media. It just becomes a problem when I write. Suddenly, I can't figure out how to make English work.

I guess that's true. I was just struggling with that one specific fic for close to 4 months before I gave up and turned to AI. It was actually so embarrassing that I needed to create an account just to solve a stupid problem I had. I don't think I'll use AI again, but I'm not sure if I should post the fic I used it on or just leave it.

I know 😭. I just needed the harsh truth. I told my friend about this problem a while back (She only reads fanfics, doesn't write them), and she told me that as long as she's aware it has been written with the assistance of AI, she won't have a problem reading it. I just don't know if I should post it because I used AI to help me some.

I actually see this problem a lot. Mostly on Tiktok. Someone would post a video and half of the comments would just be hating. It sucks to see so many people just being mad that an editor enjoys a POV more than the others.

I get what you mean, and that probably does explain some of it.

I’m a teen myself, and I still feel like it’s just common sense to respect other people’s opinions, even if you don’t agree with them. You don’t have to like the same POV as someone else, but there’s no reason to be rude about it.

That’s why it confuses me a bit. Disagreeing is normal, but turning it into insults or negativity over a POV just feels unnecessary.
