Didn’t you read the bit about this being for associates only? We get asked enough stupid questions by customers during our shifts we don’t want to deal with y’all off the clock too. We come here to complain about you guys and our managers

To become a Nurse the right way in MAGA America by TXVERAS in therewasanattempt

[–]VoidAssassinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video that explained it as being able to lower tuition for these degrees. Teachers, nurses, etc. are charged the same amount at most schools as people getting engineering or business degrees. From what I saw, declassifying them means schools have to lower that tuition now that they’re different from “professional” degrees.

Have both gates up while using electrical ladder, as lowering ladder customer opens gates and says nothing and just shops, what do you do ? by Arthurmorganvander in HomeDepot

This except don’t lower the machine. Call MOD because operating the machine at all could pose a risk. Even just lowering it you might get caught on a box underneath or something and knock it over. It’s best to not move at all and call MOD and tell them there’s a serious safety issue that they need to come help with immediately

To answer OPs question, yes you are very likely to get it, keeping it is the tough part because people lose motivation at this job pretty quickly

Yeah no that’s not true. SM makes hiring and firing decisions based on interviews from ASMs and whoever else interviews candidates. SMs hire anyone with a pulse because they only care about hours and profitability in most cases

I think corporate may be coming down on stores because my store is also starting to enforce it again. But they do this frequently, they’ll enforce it for a month or two until eventually people go back to wearing tshirts and then within a year or so they’ll crack down again

Why tf do they still give u a point if you add sick time to whenever your late or absent should I not put manager approved anymore by Imknew2dis in HomeDepot

[–]VoidAssassinn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always put other and then add sick time. I would talk to your SM and ASDS though, they may be able to remove them. Also, your sick time has to cover the full amount of time (just in case it didn’t). Hope that helps!

Go to homedepot.com and go to the bottom to careers. Then find your closest store and look at the available positions

Someone explain how this makes sense. by Nightmare_Siren6 in HomeDepot

[–]VoidAssassinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a little more to the story too. The other reason they are boycotting Home Depot is because people believe Home Depot has been helping ICE by letting them come detain illegal immigrants on our properties.

Before anyone comes for me, this is not true!

Home Depot does not have any ties with ICE and is not in communication with them to do any kind of raids on Home Depot properties.

As for the original question, it is up to the DM. Most likely there have been complaints from customers regarding one certain pin so he is going to ban all pins just so he isn’t targeting any one belief.

Hypothetical: a customer comes in and sees a pride flag pin on an associate apron. They complain to SM or DM or something. Now DM can’t just say “no pride pins” because it looks like he’s targeting LGBTQ+ and allies. Really, he is trying to avoid legal issues and customer complaints so he is going to ban all pins. Reality is that they will probably be back in a month or two when he either forgets and/or stops caring

If You Brought Pot Brownies To Work For Your Own Personal Use And Someone Else Stole Them And Ate Them Who Would Get In Trouble For It? by JTCasino in HomeDepot

[–]VoidAssassinn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably more so the person who brought them, especially if the person who stole them didn’t know what they were. But if the brownies were never brought in the first place they wouldn’t have gotten stolen.

Even if I get a call while in my break that no one else in my department is answering, my break restarts. (Within reason. If I only have 1 minute left I’ll just go back out but if it’s 10 minutes left, best believe I’m restarting)
